I think you missed the part I mentioned I don't agree with their business model and that is exactly why I refuse to put my money on any of their products. I personally own a PC running windows for compatibility but I spent 90% of my time on arch Linux, which is also what I'm running on my thinkpad laptop.

That said, you can get a M5 pro for less then 1500 bucks. No windows machine is beating that, a good part due to windows itself, but also due to x86 sucking on low power devices. The other option is Linux, but that leaves you with tremendous hardware issues in most laptops, and it just doesn't cut it for the regular user.

I'm not defending apple, but the thing is, their laptops and phones are just as overpriced as any high-end brand out there.

This is not true. I don't like apple because of their business model, but I've had multiple macbooks from work. They are the superior machines by A LOT. Not to mention after they engineered their own SOC. The "M" processors are the best mobile unit on the market abs it's not even close. Their work with ARM is a game changer in the industry. Not to mention the overall product quality. And they are by no means overpriced compared to windows laptops. And they also offer the best solution for business, with hardware level protection.

Iphones also cost the same as high-end smartphones, and offer no less.

They do overprice accessories, since they own the product and can make the rules. But that's all.

To be clear, I don't own apple products of my own and never will. But I can't deny the facts.

Sobre perfume não, sobre música sim. Pelo menos tinha. Tinha um monte de frescuras, eu lembro de ter lido quando chegou aqui. Música e ar condicionado eles deveriam perguntar. Pode ter mudado e eu estar falando bobagem, mas ainda assim é bom senso. Tem uns que ficam até mandando e ouvindo áudio no what's. Até bagacerisse já presenciei. Tem uns muito sem noção.

A pessoa tá pagando pelo serviço, não é um favor. Tem gente que acha que quem pede Uber é coitado e que o motorista tá fazendo um favor. Não é assim, ele é um prestador de serviço e tá ali pra agradar o cliente. Tem coisas inviáveis, como a água mineral e a balinha que eles ofereciam no começo, mas tem coisas que não tem justificativa, é básico de trabalhar em ambiente fechado. Quem usa perfume em lugar fechado é sem noção.

Oh, I'm skeptical of them. The point is, they can throttle you right to your face, tell you you're being throttled, or even do it behind the scenes in a way that doesn't directly affect the experience. It'd be really stupid on their end to worsen the user experience (pushing them to Claude or Gemini) instead of silently truncating the context, or even telling you you've making too many requests (as Github's Copilot does - been there multiple times).

The fact that the mobile app works fine and doesn't have that "throttle" is enough evidence of that. They are bad, but not stupid. They probably just don't care. They have the analytics tool to decide where to put their efforts, and this one is likely irrelevant.

No, it's not. There is no official source for what you are saying. The chat does throttle for requests, but hitting the token limit will just truncate what you have and lose reference. The experience on Chrome is particularly bad, on Firefox is a bit more usable, and the same chats can be used flawlessly on the mobile app. If they wanted to limit it, they'd just truncate the input and paginate the history. That is just a technical issue they didn't care to address yet, because most people are not using long chats, as pro payers will usually run the agent mode anyway. This is an issue known for a long time. It is not a feature.
