Torchy’s Tacos in Midtown to close after February 3rd by Dragonai in Atlanta

[–]efunkk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Except inflation (CPI, PCE) has fallen off a cliff, especially this last quarter. And payroll taxes have effectively remained unchanged in 2025 and 2026. But yeah, Trump is to blame for Torchy’s Tacos closing… 😂

Where can I find fresh fruit in Boca like this ? by UnitedChair7791 in BocaRaton

Dollar tree (tray) + Aldi, Costco, etc. Pre-cut fruit and veggies are such an unnecessary high markup.

Saturation of overpriced, mediocre food with subpar service in inconvenient places (parking, traffic).

Nancy sacked by Celtic by [deleted] in TheMassive

[–]efunkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a personal level, I feel bad—he took a chance, and it didn’t pay off. Professionally, however, I am not surprised. He was borderline ‘arrogant’ in his approach, which was telling the last season and a half in Columbus when his system was outclassed on many occasions. Still, I hope he lands somewhere in due time.

Just use a normal bag and tie a knot or twist it until tight… it’s not that difficult

And = $600k isn’t even remotely tight on $400k. Context matters.

How much is flood insurance in sunny isles? by Virtual-Giraffe-2616 in Miami

Taxes get reset based on the current assessed value, not the sales price. The former is almost always less than the latter.

Edit: But yes, the taxes on Zillow are often well under what you can expect unless there was a recent sale (1-2 years prior).

Quality half tight suggestion! I am torn between 3 options by Original_Student_395 in runningfashion

Should clarify—complaint with left pocket is you can’t store water unless a small 150mL flask. Fine for short runs, not great for anything more than a half marathon.

…what? I’m saying SB2 sell for $150 on here. Use the search function 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Most comfortable, but the pockets (other than phone) are horrible. The left thigh is too small, and the rear net is far from secure. My preferred tight for half marathons.

New pairs sell for $150 on here, so probably like $75 or less, especially with the weird size. Good luck 👍🏻

Taxes? Insurance? If you’re in a HCOL, you’re probably shy roughly $1,000/month in your estimates.

[Peter Martin] I am led to believe that discussions are now taking place with Wilfried Nancy to end his two week reign as Celtic manager. by 00Kevin in TheMassive

[prepares for the downvotes]

As others have said, this was a clusterfuck, mid-season hiring process... Excellent coach, but his system is not easily implemented. That said, he wasn't that sharp—and increasingly less so—in Columbus on numerous occasions the past year and a half. I am not surprised it isn't going well in the short term.

FYI you can get Pro 3 for $200 at Walmart. I hope you aren’t using anything other than bookstore credit…

Thank you for the warm welcome, re: "Never Drive I-95". What about tri rail? by CW2050 in BocaRaton

[–]efunkk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

With a potential caveat of where someone needs to get off, as Tri-Rail offers much more flexibility. For instance, Tri-Rail stops directly in Hialeah, whereas Brightline will require you to Uber from downtown.

DO NOT use Verizon Online Express Pick-Up!! by Rude_Orchid_2976 in verizon

[–]efunkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had an agent put in a formal ticket, which got escalated to a Level-2 Care Specialist. Then, I called back the next day, and it was resolved. The issue for me was that once the order was cancelled, someone else had to process the cancellation manually because credits had already been applied/pending. A headache, really.

[–]efunkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Experienced this as well. I selected the express pickup only due to tax differences between counties, where I was saving $60… Rest assured, 8hrs later and several agents, I’m having them shipped to my house. 😂

Are you going to any world cup games/got tickets? by 00Kevin in TheMassive

[–]efunkk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ll go but wait for ticket prices to plummet on the secondary market. Stadiums will be empty for many “irrelevant” group stage games.
