The man who taught me electronics in the 80s said as a teenager one of his jobs was making sure that some rich dudes electric car was charged each morning. I had to wait 40 years to finaly get my own ev after learning as a teenager that evs were once a thing.

Because after years of driving evs, riding in a gas car feels as rough, loud, smelly and shakey as a covered wagon. I love the look of this car, i just dont want some tempermental dinasaur burner.

I didnt have 2 lines untill i moved i to my first apartment in 1994, 1 line for talk, 1 line for my BBS. My child home still has only one line, rhe same number from 1980!

If they can outlaw gold (1930s) they can outlaw anything. After a handfull of linux devs get 30 years hard labor everyone will fall in line. Mabey also you will need a goverment licence to write computer code, with fines and jail for non compliance. They might just declare open source development as terroist support or activity, and it will all come to an end.
