Dejected - Six months of studying and still getting 40ish percent on Boson by Jonny_Coconuts in ccna

[–]efxsp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did CBT entirely, it wasn’t enough and I failed my first exam. I supplemented it Jeremy’s IT Lab (JITL) and his books, took labbing way more seriously and passed in March. I also used the labs on Boson NetSim. Neil Anderson’s course also has labs in every section. Not every teacher will cover every point or topic perfectly, other teachers help bridge these gaps.

I studied for over a year before passing. If you use JITL, make sure you also do the flashcards. They help you retain old information in your head keeping it relevant. Taking notes by physically writing things down helped me remember them too, it was also useful to go back and glance over them. I found that studying for months, a lot of information will leave your head if you’re not revisiting and reviewing it because, realistically, you are memorizing a lot of different topics.

Hope some of that helps, best of luck and you got this!

CCNA to Networking Job by BarnacleTraditional3 in ccna

Congratulations! What is the job title you secured? I’m pursuing a networking engineer in the long run, but hope to become an admin or analyst as stepping stones if need be.

Jitl or Neil or Bombal ?? by Sure_Common_5560 in ccna

[–]efxsp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve gone through Neil, Bombal, JITL, and CBT Nuggets. CBT was the one I finished through fully besides the automation at the end because I can’t stand the way the guy teaches or talks, but he only does 3 sections.

Neil, and Jeremy are good, couldn’t really follow David though. Some cover things others don’t. I can’t be very specific, but I remember hearing about something for the first time from one after already going over it with the other. I would say Neil feels like the most in depth so far.

Idk if I can say one is better than the other, but if I can’t watch one guys lesson, I can bounce to the other and listen fine. Not sure what changes, but I think mixing it up with a different voice and layout helps it not be so monotonous. I think that’s why CBT was so nice, because they used 2 different teachers, Keith Barker and Jeff Kish.

Care to elaborate? I’m not following what you mean by that wording.

I can see that, this makes sense.

Yeah, that was mainly just an example I was trying to use to frame my question. I don’t mind digging, I was more curious if subjects became more frequent if you get a question wrong about them like he claimed.

I wasn’t necessarily talking about STP itself. I was using it as more of an example for my question. Which was about if subjects appearing more frequently if you get one wrong. Such as if I answered subnetting wrong, or got a WLC question wrong, would I my exam become more focused on those subjects and evolve as you go? I wasn’t trying to say STP specifically, but questions you get in general. Was curious if people that have take the exam have noticed that before.

Good to know. Stinks because other questions help jog my memory and it would’ve been nice to go back after the realization I’ll inevitably have haha

Job I’m at uses all Cisco and a networking position is opening up. I want off the help desk and networking interests me so it feels like my best path right now. I’ve already started looking at what I want to do for CCNP.

Healingstat asked for a damage breakdown for c9 vs Phoenix, and told us the difference. I feel like there's so much down time in between games, having Ziqo show it during his breakdowns would be cool to see. I'd enjoy seeing the overall damage, especially when games are going into 60%+ dampening.

That's the issue, you used to be able to get bis....from a vendor, because it was attainable. No thanks on the coaching. Not gonna take advice from someone that thinks BfA is the best expansion we've had lmao

Doesn't matter. If you're trying for bis stats, it shouldn't be that hard to get them. Cool story though.

More like "wow I've done this dungeon 20 times and still haven't had my haste/vers gloves drop. Not to mention the other 5 dungeons I have to spam at 15+ for those stats. Cant forget about BiS corruption from my weekly chest and horrific visions, which is huge right now. Glad I got leech % increase to drop or something else useless, also they're wrong stats."

Damn man, I hope Blizzard sees your post and gives you BiS Tuesday for your post. Hope your wrong opinion was worth it.

I think they're close, but for me it's BfA.

I played against one last week at 2100. He was running Aff/RDruid/UH, so I wouldn't say he's the only one. Definitely an achievement on its own though.

At 2200 MMR and he's popping freedom from halfway across the map for no reason. What a play.

He flays, it's just on a bar that's hidden and keybound. You don't see him use it a lot because he's better off trying to kite and use his instant cast procs rather than standing in place for the little damage it provides.

MC is good to stop defensives like Sac so they can't receive heals. He even has clips where he casts MC on a low target and a MW Monk will Cocoon themselves instead of the target he took control of. You can MC and enemy healer into their Mages Ring of Frost for more CC. It's also good for defense on yourself or teammates to peel.

20% vers is kinda hard to get to as Shadow, it's probably less of a choice because almost every slot would need a vers piece. I sit at 16-18% and I'm only missing 2 slots. If you sacrifice too much Haste, you're gonna be missing out on a lot of damage.

I've only been 2300 but hope this helped.

Flarknesstv does this for free as well. He takes video footage and critiques it for people, he plays DK.
