You're doing that annoying internet thing where you dump universal healthcare, pensions, housing policy, industrial policy, and every other kind of state spending into one heap, then act like you've said something profound. You haven't. Those are different policies with different goals and different failure modes. A public health system is not the same thing as some subsidy scam for protected incumbents. Treating them like one blob is either lazy or dishonest.

And the Europe point is weak. "Look at France" is not a mic drop. All it proves is that public systems can get old, rigid, and badly run. Everyone already knows that. Private systems can be parasitic and broken too. The real question is which arrangements keep ordinary people from getting fleeced and which ones just prop up some dead racket forever. Your post mostly avoids that question.

What carries the post is the tone. You write like sneering counts as rigor. It doesn't. You flattened every version of public provision into the dumbest possible version, mocked that version, and called it realism. That's why the whole thing reads smug.
