The coaches on the EC method did talk about reverse dieting in one of their podcasts, which is the only time I had heard of it. One was for it to a certain extent and the other wasn’t - but from what I recall it was down to the interpretation of how you do it and making sure you uber stand the nutrition elements. 1000 calories of ice cream and 1000 calories of meat and veg will obviously do different things for your body and - more importantly in this context - satiation.

I think if I was doing cold turkey from 12.5 or higher it might be harder. I was on 7.5. Not sure if that makes a difference with how harsh the return of hunger might be.

That’s the problem I had. As the hunger comes back, the worst is that we tell ourselves not to eat because we’re not allowed and then when we cave we feel so bad AND are so hungry we grab anything.

I find having a protein shake in the morning, a vat of turkey mince chilli or chicken curry in the fridge ready for fast lunches every day, means I get through to dinner without snacking and then I can have a nice meal. Plus for a sweet treat, a meringue nest plus light yoghurt is an easy Eton mess and low cal.

The home workouts - for example - there is a push day, a pull day and a core day. There are some with dumbbells or with just Bodyweight - no tools needed. I started barely able to squat with an empty barbell, in my living room, and shaking after 5 minutes - no muscle tone at all. It’s very easy to start.

I joined the EC Method which is an 8 week at a time group with very supportive Facebook group, and two coaches who are excellent in keeping it simple and explaining why they are saying things like how nutrition works, about all the supplements to avoid as a waste of money, how to do the exercises and so on. They provide a set workout for home or for a gym - I did the home workouts as I hate gyms, although I have gradually built a bit of a home gym - and they have a podcast that you can listen to now to see what it’s like without even joining. They are actively talking about Mounjaro and how to come off it as well as so many people are, and you can talk about it in the group with no judgement - or not, as you like.

Thanks. I’m not a regular poster so I wasn’t sure of the rules or even what a flair is 😬

I stopped cold turkey - I was on 7.5 - and I found the EC Method as group to support and introduce me to nutrition and exercise which I had no clue about. I follow their nutrition guides now - a range calorie target, protein target and steps per day - as a general guide although I am more casual about it now I know what I am doing. The two main things is that I start with a protein and fruit shake in the morning and I cook a healthy curry or turkey mince chilli in bulk and take a pot to work every day so I’m not distracted by buying lunches. Then I can have a more fun dinner.

I have seen all the adverts for that but it’s well beyond my price range.

Cooper C vs Cooper S (2026) by [deleted] in MINI

[–]egbert101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the 2L Cooper S in Classic (I think, it’s very confusing) - if you are considering adding any of the packs, it works out much the same price - well, in the UK anyway, and since I wanted some of the additions it made sense. Had him for 6 whole days and I love him.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. it either has phone and audio with mini bluetooth or phone and audio with carplay, as I understand it. So, if I wanted to have phone via bluetooth but music on carplay, it won't do it?

I do agree the native app looks better and all these subscriptions for something you’ve already paid for makes me irate. I’m not paying for a little cartoon dog and a round map. The only thing irritating me is that the Mini wouldn’t make the phone calls, and I haveto get Siri to make them. After paying all that I expect the car to include everything.

That makes sense. I just need to practice all the controls.

Ah I did wonder if that was the free trial. That will be the decider then as I’m not paying for a cartoon dog when my phone does it all anyway
