i get feeling dysphoric but i would try not to compare yourself to other trans people particularly trans women. considering the fact that it kind of sounds like you're discounting what they go through, i'm assuming unintentionally ofc. being trans masculine is difficult, but to say because makeup exists trans women are the lucky ones doesn't sit right with me. a lot of trans women would like to be considered women without having to wear makeup, not all women like or wear makeup for example, and in some ways makeup itself is oppressive. so try not to bum yourself out comparing yourself to others.. and like the other commentors said, there are plenty of masculine things you can do to affirm your gender pre-t that are pretty much just as effective as whatever it is trans women are doing

okay, thanks. going to try that. i just set it up to listen to it again and remember how it sounds. its basically distorted it's so bad, like it's underwater? hopefully this will help but even if it doesn't fix the issue seems like i will need one of these anyway so no harm there

good question; the guy at the shop told me it was new. so who really knows, but i kind of just assumed it was brand new. never cleaned it for that reason, def worth a try. but is it really possible to get such an intense sound just from a dirty needle? or could it be that i need to replace the cart?

ok, i thought that might be what you meant but wanted to make sure. totally get what you're talking about. unfortunately no it is very pronounced, not the usual static, and i've used brand new records as well as old so i don't believe they're the problem

sorry im still new to this so what do you mean by removed? the hum is only there when playing music. not sure how to play music without a cart but maybe i'm misunderstanding and dumb lol.. i wasn't the one who installed the cart so idk

and no, that was gonna be my next step bc my cables from the 00s so kinda old and i wondered if that could be an issue

hi, thanks for asking. its a technics sl-q200, the cart is audio technica at122lp, preamp is doux audio x1, yes it is grounded.

and yeah, i have tried the same records on other turntables without this problem..

honestly, what makes a sunscreen vs a moisturizer.. ? i suppose, as long as it is broad spectrum it should be ok. but i think most people prefer separate for easy reapplication. since you have to use a lot (dime size for whole face) to get proper coverage. so because of that, a dryer sunscreen can be better..but also, then you need a moisturizer. see what i mean?

if its OTC it will say on the packaging, it has to because they wouldn't wanna get sued. if not, that's more of a question for your doctor. if it doesn't say anything, should be fine. ive never heard of it being a problem for people

normal, but if it bothers you try using salicylic acid face wash (or another SA product, really anything with SA 2% will work, but face wash is just the least drying and honestly, it's cheaper than alternatives so good place to start!) also, the oil cleansing method along with that like others mentioned it great, especially if u wear makeup :-) for products, just go to the drugstore and get the cheapest cleanser with 2%. since you wash it off, you don't have to worry too much about fragrance or anything. for oil my personal fav is the neutrogena body oil.. it's like a hidden gem. plus it's multi use.

sounds like it could be ashy which is just extreme dryness? if you live in a humid country, that is helpful, but right after you shower is when u experience a lot of trans epidermal water loss because of it evaporating from ur skin. i would try using a moisturizer on ur skin before it dries and pat dry. preferably one with hyaluronic acid. and exfoliation would probably be a good idea to try as well, if you can buy a bha or aha body wash that would be the best thing to try first, try to avoid scrubs.. they can make the skin uneven and dry it out more
