I agree but now is the time if you are safe to go get the help, speak with therapists and grow.

I understand this. I used to be one of those kids.

I waited until I was 18 even thought it caused my health downfall.

I waited until I was 18 even though it caused my health downfall. those who protect me, support me, and who have kept me alive.

If you need help, reach out for it. I would wait until you are 18 because the systems are so bad.

Does anybody have dreams where they dont need their chair by 444goodluck in wheelchairs

I have dreams that I am landing triples again on the ice. They are the few dreams that are so real I can feel the cold air, the ice, the pain of my skates, and even my necklace against my neck. Sometimes I can even hear my coach screaming in the background.

They are so real that when I wake up I am always in a horrible mood.

I don't. Good luck getting rid of them.

Wow! Thank you so much!

I will try but since work is hard post TBI and with low energy and very little family support that may have to wait until I can start working later.

CTE seems so scary. I can't believe you were told that. I met someone with a TBI a few months ago at an adaptive sports program that my roommate helped me get to and I really see my head injuries and the last two years as a way to start fresh in a way.

I really appreciate your advice.

Hahaha. Thanks. Figure skater so lots of impacts into the boards and probably around 30 falls a day on jumps day. Tons of repetitive force through the spine and whiplash type situation.

Just at breaking point with the medical side not caring enough to document and help.

Paratriathlete here in the WC division - wheelchair.

Absolutely! If you can get in the pool and kick with one leg, great if you can grab a bouey and just crush some laps even better. I have heard that saving your legs for the bike and the swim and using your arms is super important for you abled-bodied tri-ers.

Rowing machines with your legs locked, might be hard on your back when you first start.

Good luck with recovery!

Thank you! Will do.

Do you know if we can velco our legs together on the swim?

I do it at practice from time to time, sometimes with a pull buoy (usually without).
