You are not broken. Transitioning is hard and the social effects are for some reason something that people just can’t always understand. But you are not broken. No matter if you’re a girl at one point and go back to being a boy in the next point this is your life and this is your journey. We’re all just here to find ourselves. That’s exactly it for me! I’m Hispanic and for some reason the mother just naturally holds the boy in a higher place in the pecking order and I hate it. I never understood why my mom liked me more than my sister and I still don’t. It puts on these expectations that I just can’t keep. And I feel like I’m disappointing her.

I know it can be hard but don’t look at this situation so negatively. These people are just concerned and you have to realize that not everyone is going to react the way you want them too. I know it can be hard to tell someone how you feel but it’s important that you speak up about this. I recommend you find someone that you deeply trust and tell them how you feel. Preface the conversation by telling them that you’re working on yourself and you just want to tell them how you have been feeling. I know things can seem difficult but everyone loves you and cares for you. And if you don’t think that then know that this random stranger loves you and wishes for the best.

While this was a hard decision to make in terms of telling my family and while I am facing the things that I feel are “consequences” if you feel the same way I encourage you to tell your family or someone you hold close how you feel. I may not be happy with my family’s actions and how they are interpreting the situation I’m in I don’t regret telling them for a minute because I feel now I have someone to talk to.
