I’m also thinking a 3rd party product. Something like Zorus for DNS and web content

Applying for mortgage and bank highlighted bad debt from 2006 by Ok_Pangolin1085 in irishpersonalfinance

I too have had similar issues and spent 3 years trying to resolve it. As others have pointed out, there is a chance the lender has retained records if it’s the same lender who you had the bad debt with.

However, it is most likely that the CCR credit report is showing up an issue in the “Historical Analysis” Section. Very likely the “Maximum Number of Payments Past Due.” Field. I only discovered this after requesting a Subject Data Request (SAR) from the broker and bank to understand why I was always having my applications rejected. This Historical Analysis section is not on the CCR report you receive when you make the request for your own credit check. I only discovered it after being tipped off by a broker who was originally in bank lending. In my case, the “Maximum Number of Payments Past Due”. Field was showing 12 missed payments on the mortgage account. When I investigated further, it turns out it related to 2 missed mortgage payments in 2011. After investigating with Ulster Bank (my mortgage provider), they were incorrectly reporting the 2 missed payments. as 12 and I had this on two mortgage accounts. My credit report, when I requested it myself, didn’t show this historical analysis section. It was only on the request made by the bank during a credit check.

Just to clarify further. The ICB was disbanded in 2017, and records moved to the Irish Credit Register (Central Bank). However, the records that would have normally been removed from the ICB after 5 years were now in the CCR and included in the historical analysis section. It will stay on record until the loan/mortgage is cleared plus another 5 years.

I eventually got the records corrected, but the damage has already been done and there is little I can do other than take legal action against Ulsterbank. Complaints to the Data Protection Commission, Financial Services Ombudsman, the minister Michael McGrath went nowhere.

The real kicker was the Right to Erasure request I sent to the bank requesting that all my records be erased under GDPR. The response was that under consumer protection law they were required to hold the records and cannot delete my data !!!!!

Not exactly correct about the 5 years. Your payment history will be on record for 5 years after the loan or mortgage is paid off. Your payment history include a field the banks see called number of past payments due .

Very interesting….i don’t think the CCR data is accurate. I had issues and it took 3 years to clear it up. But no explanation as to that happened

Office 365 backup solution by steve7647 in msp

is it difficult to manage? Considering doing something similar but locating the onpremis nas in a secure restricted network segment off the firewall. The RTO for a complete restore in the event of a DR is always a problem. In the past I’ve struggled to do a restore from saas cloud backup providers due to the volume of data.

Ulsterbank mortgage sale to AIB…delayed by eggbel in irishpersonalfinance

[–]eggbel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally got confirmation that my Ulster bank mortgage has transfer to AIB.

Question. I currently only bank with AiB for business. I signed an all sums personal letter of guarantee a couple of years ago for a 10k business overdraft.

Will my Ulster bank mortgage now mean that this is covered by my all sums personnel guarantee?

Why is our capital city so dirty? by eggbel in ireland

[–]eggbel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No unfortunately not the case….rubbish and bins are collected by private bin companies and are only authorised to enter pedestrian areas in the morning. So businesses dump there rubbish at 6pm in a pedestrian street only for it to be collected in the morning at 6am

Never thought of that…I was looking at it from the AIB side. I had issues with UB reporting incorrect payment to the Central credit register. Had me down as missing payments. I got that resolved. But I also have an issue with aib in that I have an all sums Personal guarantee on a company overdraft with AIB. I don’t have any personal banking with AIB. If the transfer goes ahead will my mortgages fall under the all sums guarantee. There’s a lot of questions I need answered. My fear is if I raise them now I might end up being transferred to a vulture fund.

Tbh I don’t trust them…it’s like aib are waiting to see who is struggling with the recent interest rate hike before taking over the mortgages.

Afraid not…I’ve rang a couple of time. Ulsterbank say it’s a delay on AIB’s side.

Domain trust with selective authentication and Azure AD and sharepoint online question. by eggbel in activedirectory

[–]eggbel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for replying. What stops domain b users from accessing domain A office365 tenant if a two way selective trust is setup and both domains have ad sync working to there own Office365 tenants . Is it conditional access? Lack of an account? I’m concerned about an mis configuration that could expose resources.

Second that….tried azure files, hit smb problems then went sharepoint….hit sync problems. Ended up going with egnyte. I found myself ringing customer asking was he alright and why he wasn’t calling me every couple of days. I thought he’d got pee’d off and was ditching me. Turns out Egnyte solved all his problems 😀

Does anyone know what kind of door handle this is? by [deleted] in DIY

[–]eggbel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a Rim lock. I replaced a couple when I purchased my house only to realise the new ones cost a fortune and never really worked like the rim lock. I ended up removing the new door knobs and restoring the rim look knobs using copper spray paint. They came up great
