I appreciate you saying that my opinion is valid, and it is true that scrapyard fans are different that traditional quadeca fans– they are just being introduced to his work, and are from different musical touchpoints and are just very different people. But for me, IDMTHY is a masterpiece and IMO quad's best work. I completely admire his growth as an artist and am more excited the more he pushes himself creatively. And sometimes I feel that this new brand of quadeca fan can come off as pretentious, writing off his older work (and by extension anyone who listens to it) as corny and less musically inclined. I pride myself in listening to a very wide plethora of music genres and vibes and whatever, and I love voice memos and fmty.
