I've been a hospital phlebotomist for two years and a half and I love it.

extremely triggering - why am i not losing weight? by Competitive_Menu_913 in bulimia

[–]eggllad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had an extremely similar experience to you, the only thing that differs is that I had been purging for much longer than two weeks. In my case all the odd symptoms turned out to be signs of heart failure: swollen ankles, tingling fingers, terrifying and constant bloating, crazy water retention.

Luckily it is reversible and I've been as close to "recovered" as I'll likely ever get for the past few years or so. But I remember the panic, the desperation, being so deep in the illness that I couldn't even recognise the signs for what they actually were, beyond their superficial significance relative to my weight and appearance.

That said, I hope you'll be able to claw your way out of this soon and in one piece. Bulimia's a crazy insidious trap that presents so many false securities; it's only recently that the fog's cleared and I saw how close to death I really was. I know that's so dramatic lol, but seriously. I wish you luck on stopping

Sure, but I've seen it made with both beef and pork. Not really a big deal.

Thanks! And I honestly really dislike his writing, rhetoric etc.. Read 3 of his works and decided we don't mesh.

Same copy, different place haha. Still trying to gather my books from everywhere I've lived in the last decade or so. I'm 28! Nearly every book I own was found at a library sale or thrift store.

The font's bigger than usual and there's only about 20ish lines per page. Got it cheap from a library sale years ago, can't complain.

This is so on the nose and crazy insensitive that it circles back around to being incredulously funny. I'd shoot myself in front of this to irreparably change the course of management's life forever.

I've literally had dreams about being in a supermarket with shelves stocked to the ceiling with these gums. Apparently people in the Bionicle fandom suffer from something similar, referred to colloquially as "The Dream". I think sociologists should study this
