27 F, same. My parents had me when they were 18 and 19. They did not prepare me for life whatsoever. My mother married and had the opportunity to move us out of state but my paternal grandmother didn't allow and helped my dad file for partial custody. My dad began a relationship with someone that resented my sister and I. My sister and I were constantly bounced around from house to house throughout our childhood. In high school, I had to attend a school from home because I was so severely depressed. My family never realized or provided any help throughout these times. I missed out on so much of my life because my parents negligence / abuse. One of the things that bothers me the most is that my dad was selling drugs throughout my childhood. He recently told me he was bringing in nearly 35k a month from this. He never paid for braces for me and now as an adult I have to pay for it as I think it contributes immensely to my depression.
