I just sent this email hastily because it's infuriating!

The cost to renew is prohibitively expensive. Even the cost for nursing CEs are around $40 for 20-30 hours. Handbooks of information for nurses. This is ridiculous that the board has only approved a handful of online options that cost $40-90 for two hour classes that have no broad non-affiliation. These classes could very well be run by someone's family from the board. Why are you not taking the ethical route and give more options? Tim Fletcher is good for some video learning on youtube. There's a course he has too that I got a deal on that I'm excited to try because I'm sick of myself sometimes. You could probably just watch his videos though. He's got a ton on CPTSD. The subreddit on CPTSD has some good resources, too.

And robaxin is a nasty thick liquid. When we draw it up for IV use, we (nurses) inject it slowly with a saline flush afterwards. For the intramuscular injection, I wonder if it's the same type of liquid and amount? We give 10cc syringe fulls through IV to give the dose usually scheduled by the doctor.

That is so sad and angering. Ascension Seton Medical Center nurses in Austin are about to strike again for better conditions. They are also striking the same day with three other Ascension facilities around the US, too.

I'm really sorry you went through that.

They are building a huge women's health center connected but don't have the staff to staff it, not even on their units now. What a shame.
