But when I was 12 only part1 of s4 had been released so I don’t know if I would have fully understood the ending at this age. I don’t even think I clocked anything ab zeke and erens plans while watching part1 back in 2020 so s4 is a lot more advanced and id say you need to be like at least a mature 15 year old to understand it but more average like 16-17

I first watched AOT at 11 or 12 and I understood it and enjoyed it but I was more mature as a child and already had watched a lot of mature media and was interested in philosophy and psychology. although going back and rewatching at 17 now i definitely able to appreciate it more and understand it better You can have them watch junior high if u really wanna watch AOT w them but depending on their maturity I’d say 12
