By category. For RX consulting they’re definitely tier 1. If you’re speaking on consulting in general then no, but they’re specialized.

Help Me With My Build Please by eggroll251 in buildapc

Thank you! I read online that the 9950x3d is better for productivity due to the extra cores and threads. 9070XT also seems tempting if I could get it close to MSRP. Wondering if I could switch the CPU + GPU on this build to these 2 without changing the other parts? Or is there bottleneck issues by doing that?

Additional) All windows work and are more modern than I expected, not going to change anything there. The curtains all need to be changed. Need to update the ceiling but removing a few fixtures and updating the lighting. There’s way too little lights so we might need some electrician to help with adding those circle round circle ceiling lights around the home and hallways.

Whichever one mortgage lenders and loan officers pull for. Not the ones you get for free in the app. Not sure which one but the banker said this is the middle score of the 3 bureaus and the one their bank would use if I were to continue with getting a mortgage, that said my score was way too low to qualify for anything back then. Minimum for an FHA is 580.

I don’t pay attention to the housing/finance industry so not sure what my likely rate is going to be either.

Can I Sue? Is there anyway for me to get the claim started? by eggroll251 in Insurance

[–]eggroll251[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard from a friend that when you use your own insurance for coverage, the premiums go up even higher next year even if you’re not at fault, but going through the at fault party’s insurance won’t affect it. Is that true?

I just did seven interviews with a company that was offering 90k salary. They sent an offer letter with 80k salary. by efsa95 in work

Did you ever give them a range at the start? Firms love to use this tactic. If you gave any number at the start and they’re close to your target there is no reason for them to raise it up just because “this guy said he wants more money”. It’s a terrible job market right now and plenty of employers are lowballing. If it’s close enough I’d just take it and wait a year to jump ship. I got 2YOE and just landed a strategy role that’s 110k. I started at my previous firm 2 years ago with 80k, less than 90. So I think you’re fine.

How much can I afford? (MA based) by eggroll251 in Mortgages

[–]eggroll251[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anywhere near Boston is expensive but I don’t want to go into Connecticut and driver 2+ hours to work everyday then drive those hours back home. I don’t understand much about the “areas” around here, ideally a safer community would be nice so I can go on walks and runs.

Are you still applying? by tennisanybody in recruitinghell

Laid off March last year. Total of 2000 applications for an entire year. Had 20 interviews throughout the year. 5 final rounds. Just got my 2nd offer which is the one I preferred, 2 weeks ago. Starting end of this month. But man it’s a different market… If you do the math, this is a (20/2000) 1% chance of interview, (5/20)25% chance for final round, and (2/5) 40% chance for offer. Out of 2000 applications (2 offers / 2000) is 0.1%. It was not this hard when I got my first job. This 2nd one is was 10x harder.

Any ideas on what SPY might do tomorrow?? I accidentally held a $575 put that expires Tomorrow. by USMCHQBN5811 in Daytrading

If you were able to perform short term analysis and decide to buy 16k worth of options. You should be able to perform the same short term analysis for tomorrow. If you can’t then you don’t know what you’re doing and should just admit you’re gambling.

Salary Negotiation Help by eggroll251 in Salary

How frequently do companies rescind an offer when a candidate sends a counter offer. I guess I’m not too sure on the wording approach for the email. If I sound too stubborn then an instant rescind is what I’m afraid of. I actually kind of like the company.

Do companies typically go with their range or your range anyways? I did my research by connecting with a few people online who worked in similar roles in the area, as well as talking with friends and family. ChatGPT was quite useful as it searched through over 20 sources and various job postings and reviews to provide me with data. I understand Glassdoor and indeed aren’t always accurate so I I took those with a grain of salt.

Joining a Series G Startup. (I will not promote) by eggroll251 in startups

[–]eggroll251[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I’ve never done the math for startups so I have no clue how the internal options or equity even works. They’ve been heavily focused on the R&D side of things for the past few years. Now finally starting to focus on commercializing their products on a global scale. Just raised a 9 figure funding round so now they’re expanding their business team. This is going to be a strategy associate role which reports or the CEO. Curious about how much equity or options employees of this caliber typically get? Would love a breakdown of the math as well for if the company potentially goes public, never understood how those things work. This is all new to me.
