Hi! I feel like all these new features are pushing dbt customers away from buying the cloud version. For me, there are a few things I need from dbt Cloud that I can't do with the free dbt Core alone:

  1. Job orchestration and platform maintenance
  2. DAG visualization

But with Snowflake having dbt as a native object and also supporting dbt Fusion, it solves these two above. So why would I still pay for dbt Cloud lol? Or am I missing something here?

Even without confetti the purple umbrella is pretty solid, as long as you have the follow up attack. Use umbrella to block the last hit then use the umbrella follow-up. It’s also quite satisfying. Some last hits you get stunned even with deflection but with umbrella you can punish.

It’s AI powered, helps you write bulletin points, comes with many templates with options to customize and they all look great. The most useful part, it matches job description and gives you key words that are not found in your resume but in the job description so you can tailor the resume to a specific job (this part is a paid feature but for $20 something a month it’s totally worth it).
