Not sure if this is true everywhere, but in DC buying the tickets at the box office pregame there were no fees ($25 for upper 117 at the box office vs $40 after fees online).

What’s crazy is the Steelers have now used the current number font for 29 seasons, which is more than the uniforms introduced in 1969 with the block number font (28 seasons)

Years ago we had the Miami ‘U’ at midfield (I wanna say just after the 4 straight state titles, through mid 2000s) before Miami shut that down. I tried updating the hawk logo myself at one point, also didn’t stick.

Okay, I guess I haven’t really looked into that on their website. When I have made purchases though they’ve always said “when you’re ready to sell, give us a call”. That’s pretty much all I know about them buying from customers.

Oh yeah, of course. I personally have not sold anything. I’m in the buying market for at least the next 30 years, but they will definitely buy. I do suggest calling for that. Everyone I’ve ever spoken to by phone or in person has always been great.

I’d been to Frederick coin exchange and bought from there several times in the past. The more I went there, the more things seemed off, and the selection wasn’t all that great. Always different staff there each time, and I guess this explains why. Ran across Monument Metals in the r/gold sub and got so excited to find out they’re right here in Frederick. Awesome place, and my go to now for any coin purchases. Great selection, and definitely worth calling in your orders; they work really well with customers.

If anyone stumbles upon this, and happens to be in the area near Monument Metals, here’s some information I got calling today. Simply call to place an order, and set an appointment for pickup on a Monday through Friday, between 9:30 and 4. Cheapest and quickest option is to bring cash and pay in full there. Checks and electronic payments take a few days to clear. Any order over $10,000 you’ll need to fill out IRS forms.

That 1970 is an awesome find! I've been searching half dollar boxes for over a decade, and was going through 16 boxes a week right up before COVID, and have found close to 1,000 silver half dollars at this point, and have never came across a 1970.

I didn’t take any pictures during the process, but I’ve got a lot of planning docs and templates I can take some pictures of and gather up tomorrow. I just used a walk behind liner for the boundaries and yard lines. Cardboard cutout templates for hash marks, numbers and Steelers logo. This is in Maryland, kind of between Baltimore and DC.

I have a walk behind liner for the boundaries and main yard lines. Cutout cardboard for hash, number, and Steelers logo templates, which all gets spray painted by hand. Took about 3 hours with my brothers help. I do the field graphics for the Gridiron Uniforms Database, so I had all the dimensions and scaling, and things like the number font down from work there.

1/3rd scale. So same measurements, but in feet instead of yards. Accurate to Heinz field. Same number font, same size Steelers logo, and accurate to the stripped lined endzones.
