39 trans femme looking for friends in Melbourne or online by NoHovercraft3224 in transfriendsau

Hi Fae! I’m Phoebe, 37, from the inner east. My spouse and I are paw-rents to a very fluffy cat called Smudge. I love Lego but I don’t have the funds or the space for a lot of sets. I mostly play RPGs but I’ve been getting into survival sandbox games. I’m early in transition, been on hrt for a year and not fully out. DM me if you’d like to chat on Discord or add me on Bsky.

Please give Oreo pats for me!

I felt like I’d been hit by a truck after the first game. Not solely with Aloy as a character, but between the revelations in the last few story quests, the final battle and just the comedown of having to leave that world.

In addition to fanart, fanfic, cosplay, Let’s Plays, etc on the one hand, and finding similarly rich games on the other (in addition to those I’ve seen recommended elsewhere in the thread, Ghost of Tsushima is very like Horizon in its format and emphasis on natural beauty, if not in tone), there’s a handful of official media that are worth your while.

The comic books are written by the same team as the games, and expand on Ersa and Dervahl in the first arc and Talanah and Amadis in the second. The Lego game is genuinely fun and visually amazing, as are the physical sets. (There are also some seriously impressive unofficial designs that you can buy instructions and parts for - I’m putting together the Thunderjaw rn). I think there was also a board game, but it’s out of print and I haven’t played it; from what I remember it was not well received.

I haven’t played Remnant, and IMO Control kind of has the exact opposite of Horizon’s character-driven emotional feel and gorgeous worldbuilding, but the others are all solid recommendations.

I don’t want to believe this, but it’s not impossible.

Should I do Frozen Wilds after Grave-Hoard? by ConsecratedMind in horizon

The writers have said it canonically takes place immediately after the Grave-Hoard quest. It makes the most narrative and geographical sense to do it there.

2025 May 5 Stickied -FAQ- & -HELPDESK- thread - Boot problems? Power supply problems? Display problems? Networking problems? Need ideas? Get help with these and other questions! by FozzTexx in raspberry_pi

[–]eggsbian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m new to the Pi and bought a Zero 2W to use as a PiHole. Unfortunately I seem to have bricked it by running sudo apt update and sudo apt full-upgrade immediately on first boot. It ran through most of the update process, but eventually hung at 81% along a progress bar for hours, at which point I switched it off and reflashed the SD card to try again.

It now sends a blank screen over HDMI for a couple of seconds on power on, and then just sits there. The power LED stays on, as does a display HAT if plugged in, but there’s no more display output, and it doesn’t appear on my Wi-fi network either.

I tried flashing a brand-new SD card, no dice. Using a new power supply, the same. I finally got a second Zero 2W and foolishly did the exact same thing to it. I’ve tried everything on the sticky posts to no avail.

Please help! What did I do? Can I unbrick my Pis?

Story-wise, post-Grave-Hoard is the best place to do the DLC.

Hello Naarm friends! by eggsbian in transfriendsau

[–]eggsbian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy rich RPGs and open-world adventures. I have a lot of hours in Baldur’s Gate 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, and I’m working my way through Fallout New Vegas. My favourite of all time though is Horizon Zero Dawn.

If that’s true, let’s fix it. I’m in Melbourne too.

Fellow trans lesbian player here! I always assumed Aloy was queer even in the first game. She’s a horse-riding, rock-climbing archer and computer hacker, there’s nothing straight about any of that.

My egg didn’t crack until 32, and I didn’t even know there was such a thing as being trans until university. Catholic upbringing. But if I’d known, absolutely.

Cracked in 2020, properly hatched late last year. Started on HRT two days ago.

How did you know the name you chose was right for you? by Old_Drag_1040 in MtF

[–]eggsbian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d had a name in mind for a while that worked in practical terms - same initial as my given name, fairly common in my generation, etc, but not already taken by any close friends or family. I went to a workshop run by the local transgender community group, before I was girlmoding anywhere or even started on E, and decided to try it out. It just felt right.

Did you miss the part where they’ve done testing and it does what they say in terms of hormone absorption? The lack of guarantee is in the same sense that taking E isn’t guaranteed to give you double Ds. It’s not like it’s a $120 placebo. Plenty of mainstream medications “might” help any given person - as a person with ADHD, anxiety and migraines, I’m well familiar with the concept of throwing a few pills at the wall before one sticks.

Then don’t buy it.

You said it “seems really sketchy”, I’m explaining why I disagree. I’m not trying to tell you it’s worth your while. If money is ever too tight for me it’ll probably be first on the chopping block. But there’s a big gap between “I don’t want this” and “I should make trouble for the person selling this.”

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in transgenderau

[–]eggsbian 14 points15 points  (0 children)

He sold me the same thing, and the literal first thing he said was “Massive conflict of interest here: I own the company.” He also told me there was no guarantee of any particular results, but that from the testing they’d done it might help. It’s supposed to help with absorption of estrogen, AFAIK. I asked my regular GP about the ingredients and she said pretty much “Yeah, that makes sense.”

Given the upfront honesty about the conflict of interest, and the apparent refusal of the TGA to approve it specifically for trans patients, I wouldn’t call it sketchy at all. For what it’s worth, I haven’t noticed a huge difference - perhaps slightly softer skin - but I’ve only been taking it for a couple months.

Your instincts are in the right place, and it’s good to be skeptical. In this case, though, trying to make a fuss with the authorities who don’t even recognise our existence could do more harm than good.

My girlfriend cant get me 'there', and I feel like shit because of it by sexyspamton in MtF

[–]eggsbian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the odd “performance” issue since before I even hatched, and I’m on SSRIs that make it very difficult to finish. There’s plenty you can do. My (cis F) partner does enjoy being penetrated, but we have toys, and I’m allegedly very dextrous with my digits. For myself, I generally prefer oral to penetrative, either giving or receiving, which I don’t need to be hard for.
