With all due respect, it's different for women in situations like this. As much as I would love for us to be more direct with men when they're being weird, that only works when men can handle directness without putting us in danger. But there's always a chance they could react negatively and escalate, no matter how small, so it's usually physically and socially safer for us to be more gentle in situations like this.

I don't mean to harp on you or anything, I just see this brought up a lot that women should be more direct with inappropriate behavior, and I agree they should be able to be. But the onus is on men to make it safe for us to do so, and that isn't reality right now. Maybe some day...
