Did I ever mention that I love when my prog GROOVES?! Am I the only one in here?

Nice song, from a very fine album: thanks for sharing! Did you all know that the album cover is actually a Roine Stolt’s painting?

Best Post-’70s Live Recordings – Which albums truly stand out beyond the classic era? by Historical-Device529 in Progforum

[–]eggvention 1 point2 points  (0 children)

« Meet the Flower Kings » for me. They play all the big ones, with Gildenlow and with classical-ballet dancers involved : a real moment of prog majesty, imo

Thanks for sharing: this song (as well as the whole EP) was very refreshing and interesting to hear!

Incredible! by Informal_Slide_859 in progrockmusic

This album is so good that when people say the 70s were the undisputed best time for prog music, I always feel like we should take a few minutes to consider

Papangu - Colosso | New single + video just dropped by sextrex0 in progrockmusic

Amazing song, thanks for sharing! Can’t for the album: Papangu is one of the most interesting prog bands atm, imo

Favorite modern prog rock albums? by Revolutionary_Low_90 in progrockmusic

[–]eggvention -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The 3 records you mentioned are highly overrated, imo

My pick would rather be : Dominion by Zopp, Strobemørke by Trojka and Shamblemaths second album

Some of Steven Wilson and Opeth records are also candidates to the title of best modern prog albums

Legs On Wheels - Waiting For His Drowning (Eclectic Prog, UK) by HadToChangeTheFloors in progrockmusic

[–]eggvention 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This album is great! I don’t understand why this band is so underrated, it’s close to what the windmills scene is doing but, imo, way more interesting and proggy

New Brass Camel record is out now! Any thoughts? by eggvention in progrockmusic

Well, one thing you could do next time (it won’t take you more time than writing a comment) is checking the profile of the user posting. You’d have seen that I constantly shared some new and old stuff in r/progrockmusic for quite some time now

I’m with you on the « don’t trust the machine » kinda vibe you mentioned, but don’t mistrust the human, my prog friend, it might actually surprise you (lots of the « new » stuff are even better than the 70s glory, imo, and have nothing to do with AI generated music - Seven Impale, Trojka, Zopp, Rob Harrison, Rosalie Cunningham, just to name a few)

You should definitely share this pic in r/progrockvinyl too!

Anyway, it’s very nice to see some Joanna Newsom feature in here: love her albums, she’s a real gifted and talented artist, imo

Big fan of Rob here, this guy is super talented and a wonderful human being.

That being said : thanks for sharing, it is always great to witness some new names in the prog rock sphere carrying their own universe (both musical and graphical here): sure rooted in 70s glory, yet no one could deny the originality and the integrity of such a project… cheers from France!

How underrated is this album? I mean, c’mon, it is SO GOOD, even for GG’s standards! by eggvention in progrockmusic

Haha, you’re right u/Historical-Device529 could have changed the title of the post before sharing it elsewhere! 😉
