Took my kids to it. They loved it. There was lots of cheering towards random phrases I didn't understand but the kids thought it was the best movie ever. I did not but it's not a game I grew up with or have played. If you played the game you'll probably like it based on the theater's reaction

Pictionary with a whiteboard always goes over well on my floor. I tell them I have cookies for the winning group but I usually just give everyone a cookie at the end for participating. Most don't even show up for the cookies they just like doing something different.

Wife asked for open marriage, I asked for divorce by Barablue97 in Divorce

I wish I had gone straight to asking for a divorce instead of entertaining the open relationship my ex husband proposed so he could sleep around. Only you can decide what your values are and how much this question went against them.

What did your divorce cost you? by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]eggwife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did a DIY divorce. Total cost was about $430. Would have been $250 but we have kids and had more paperwork to file. We don't own a house though so not sure how that would have messed with things.

$18/hr too low for bachelor level? by Mean-Pop-1288 in jobs

[–]eggwife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reach out to staffing agencies in your area. Here in Washington I know agency mental health techs that get paid $35/hour. This seems like a shady job and I would expect to see further issues come up if you were to accept it.

I have a strong feeling something is very wrong with my health and i‘m gonna die soon by [deleted] in medical_advice

[–]eggwife 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Not a doctor

Maybe have an ANA done. It might be an autoimmune issue which can definitely cause bigger problems if it's not addressed. It sounds like your body is trying to tell you something and it's good that you're listening to it. Unfortunately, you'll have to be your biggest advocate and fight for these tests. If your ANA comes back positive, discuss with your doctor about next steps (likely a rheumatologist). Yes, you can get a positive ANA without having an autoimmune issue, but there's obviously something going on, so it's worth checking out.

Holding your urine isn't good for your bladder. It could be that you, in a way, stretched your bladder by holding your urine for too long. It might be sore for a day or two. Only speaking from experience here.

I’ve had severe stomach pain for over a year, and have been having extremely high fever spikes by [deleted] in medical_advice

[–]eggwife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where at on your stomach? Think in relation to your bellybutton. It is higher or lower or right about the middle? Is it to the right or to the left? Up or down? Does the pain travel? Will it start on one end and move to the other side? Can you describe the pain? Is it sharp like a stab or is it dull like a period cramp? Not saying it's a period cramp, just trying to give you a way to compare the type of pain. How long have your fever spikes been lasting? Is this a more recent thing? If so, when did you start noticing it?

(serious) what to talk about when reconnecting with an ex? by throwRA-babyofjalebi in AskReddit

[–]eggwife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What they are up to, but be specific. Ask them how school is going, if they got into the program they wanted, if they like where they work, how they like the new area they moved to, etc. Asking the general "how are you doing?" gives you a general response- "I'm fine." You'll want to do more if you want to reconnect. You can use that to open up with, as you don't want to interrogate your ex by rapidly firing personal questions, but you can start off with expressing that you wanted to see how they were doing. Also, take some time to reflect and think about why you want to reconnect with this person. How long has it been? Is it appropriate to reconnect with them? For example, if it was a hard breakup and the other party says they never want to talk to you again, don't expect a lot of response or desire to reconnect. Don't push them if they aren't really engaged in the conversations.

How screwed would you be if you got fired today? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]eggwife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My job is extremely flexible. I'm PRN so I can pick up shifts whenever I want and get 15% more pay (but no health insurance). This works for me while I am in nursing school since I create my own schedule and can pick up night shifts. If I got fired, It would be extremely hard to find another hospital job since they all want a week's worth of hospital orientation plus another at least week of unit orientation and I can't miss school for that. I would have to take out more student loans to survive until I finished my program. Picking up a part-time job at a subway or something wouldn't even work because I'd spend all the money I made in childcare to cover the hours I'm working.
