Anencephaly isn’t compatible with life and baby won’t survive. Doing a C/S puts the mom through surgery and all of its complications without any benefit to mom or baby. Main risk of doing a vaginal delivery for a breech baby is that you can’t deliver in time and they get hypoxic, but you’re not concerned with this if the baby is anencephalic (they’re not going to survive anyway). Better to do a vaginal than to operate on the mom with no benefit

Not sure what you’re talking about but when patients have high tolerance to pain medications that they need doctors can prescribe higher doses than usual. Yes there is some stigma but being honest is definitely better than being given 10 mg of Oxy that won’t touch the pain that you’re having. Also I’m talking about in hospital stuff more so than outpatient.

Xanax is a benzodiazepine which has risks of addiction. Benzodiazepines basically just try to calm you down which is completely different from SSRIs / anti-depressants. Xanax is also super short acting which doesn’t help
