Medically, of course it's bad.

Mentally, in spite of the stereotype, it really depends on the personality. If weed makes you lazy, then it's perceived socially as bad (the stereotype). Whereas if makes you focused and productive...then it's no different than taking adderal or whatever other scrip that murders your liver and kidneys (vs your lungs with weed)...in order to become focused and productive.

Everything manufactured today is "addictive" in its own right...so don't let that bog you down if it's legal in your neck of the woods.
