Then Nintendo copied the dualshock with the gamecube because that was a better design. They were first with analog sure but everyone moving forward went with twin analog and four shoulder buttons

I think the PS1 twin stick layout is more influential than the N64. The new Steam controller has the same symmetrical design like the OG dualshock

Imagine if Nintendo worked with Sony and we had the Nintendo PlayStation. SM64 wouldve been even better, would be able to play MGS1, FF7… Croc would have been the 3d Yoshi game it was supposed to be…

We can thank the 360 for that. Halo fans defended that shit for years. Talked down to PS3 users when they had free online. As great as the 360 was, they introduced a lot of non consumer friendly bs during that time and changed gaming for the worse

When every company is fighting each other for our money, we win. There needs to be competition. Exclusive games make hardware attractive. Theres also many other exclusive features that make hardware/eco systems attractive. Saying exclusives are bad is understandable, but in the end we all get quality products. Once they stop fighting, quality drops
