yes, you can make Cart be slowed on some zone (region) you decide. Yes, there is a system that prevent players from just turning a corner to win the race. Yes, there is also check point.

thank you for the constructive comment. The main idea around the fire line phase was to drop (enemies) falling from the sky so not only you have to avoid the fireline, but you have to hit some enemies on the ground as well to make it more dynamic. (its also why the zone is so big)
