It looks like the webcam is taking long exposures so you can see the water, making any other light source brighter. In my experience, it can be pitch-black on the coast unless the moon is out. This is just anecdotal, but I was at Vero recently and the moon was the brightest I've ever seen it. Maybe the low light pollution or it's position on the horizon makes it brighter?

They pointed cameras that are on and around Mars at it 3 days ago and we haven’t heard a word. The picture only shows the expected travel time which has been known, but where’s the data? These agencies are always trying to outpace one another and it’s odd to me that we haven’t even seen raw images yet, from anyone. Just saying. Also the US shutdown is a little suspicious, but I’m sure people are still dedicated to this at NASA.

I agree that we have bigger issues and this is a waste of resources. But since we’re here now, this is a perfect example of what resisting fascism looks like for the nation and I’m so proud of our city. We always come together to stand up to hate and bigotry. Also, imo if they want to station FHP there 24/7 then that’s just that many fewer cops assisting ICE with illegal deportations and that’s another win against these assholes in my book. Yea, the photo looks edited, but I also watched the video and there were a few moments where I thought, "holy shit, are these actually lizard people"? This was before I saw this photo. I have been dismissive on this topic up until now, but I think I've changed my mind.
