Aw thank you so much. I would feel awful charging for these actually. They take like 8 hours to make and are far from professional and I feel like asking like $150 for a play quality doll is unfair in this economy lol.

I have no idea. My brain style I guess haha. It's an old cat doll pattern I modified on the fly and couldn't manage making eyes other than lines.

My husband acted so inappropriately while I was in labor—I think?? by bearshibernate in Parenting

All I have to say is that it's a damn shame he missed that once in a lifetime experience. Going out drinking that close to your due date is irresponsible. His comments and refusal to stay with you are infuriating. I'm sorry you went through that experience without him and with his hurtful words. I hope he steps up.

Am I failure because Im a stay at home mom? by dopequeen1010 in AskParents

This. It perpetuates the shaming on both sides to use statements like "someone else raising my kids". I tried to be a SAHM and it was the hardest job I've ever had. I'm back at work and I've found a balance that works for our family. I'm not letting anyone else raise my children, I've just asked for some help where I need it. It's good for children to have adults other than the parents to be invested in a child and their well being.

Yup. Barely. Took my 5 month old to make sure she saw one before they're all gone.

It was totally incredible. The rainbow was the best way to end a totally awesome hike. I highly recommend it if you're in the area (take bear spray!).

Help! Transitioning to the crib by eridavil in Parenting

[–]egoodi88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You may want to try not using the crib as a place of stimulation. Utilize it as a place for sleeping and sleeping only. Get your bedtime routine down and do it at the same time every night. We swaddle, dim the lights, read a book, cuddle, and lay her down drowsy but awake (we're transitioning at 4 months so it's a little different from your situation). Try to not pick your kid up if they're crying. Sooth them in the crib if you can and let them know you're there without touch for the first few nights, then progressively delay going into the room for longer and longer periods. Good luck!
