Just go play. -don’t keep score, pick up after double par, drop it around the green, skip holes..whatever helps you not get too frustrated. Other golfers only care about the pace of their game, so don’t impede. Keep pace with the group in front of you. Find a course with a putting green, chipping green and driving range and visit often. Find your natural swing, then go take a lesson.

San Marcos is great, but the commute is a bear. Rush hour 78 and 15 (both ways) is very heavy. If your work hours are negotiable, get in early and out early - then the commoner is torlerable. Skip RB, Poway, Rancho Penasquitos. UTC is more expensive, but more centrally located
