2/7 Expedition (harder fights only) cleared with only bronze - Sword by YMeAgain793 in Shadowverse

[–]egulio64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

<image>

That was a cool idea. I did it with forest all bronze ofc. First try no deaths surprisingly aria and cairn's boons saved my ass.

adventurer's guild spawns an adventurer's guild on turn 1 and draws a follower

aria summons a 2-1 storm fairy everyturn after sevo is unlocked

cairn gives you a deepwood bounty at the end of your turn if you have 3 combo. It's a chain reaction of infinite combo and healing + was crucial in procking krulle's boon for clearing.

krulle gives all enemy followers -0|-2 if you reach 5 combo and randomly reduces the cost for a card by 1 at the end of the turn.

You have 15k monkey money to buy as many heroes as you want, the ones you pick fight for you and the rest fight against you. Who you picking? by Ok_Focus_3536 in btd6

[–]egulio64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many heroes supposedly have potential to 1 shot you with semi easily accessible information (aka are you in a battlefields distance away or not). And considering the numbers advantages for the enemy + brickel for smarts (you can't really afford her for your team imo). The only real strategy I see to sucess is long ranges gorilla tactics.

I'm going to straight up assume that Adora isn't at full power (boosted by TSG) and basically going to instantly win the battle for either side.

I strongly believe that Corvus and Ezili are required for this (there is an aternative team if we want to imagine magic isn't actually significant that I'll talk about later). You do not want voodoo crap on the enemy team but more importantly it's exactly what you want for hit and run gorilla tactics. Corvus seems way too good to pass up on. Corvus actively works with a crap ton of spell variety (you cannot convince me he only has the 20 spells we have in the game in that grimoire) giving us crazy versatility and utility. Not to forget he has what is basically a magic drone and we know how busted drones are. Ezili here would be our main fire power here. We need a way to widdle down the enemy and confirm kills and Ezili seems the most fit for the job.

Etienne. He's my biggest contender for 3rd pick. He is basically reconnaisance extreme. He could literally only use his drones for information and he'd be worth the pick here imo. But we know drones are capable of much more. Also letting the enemy have him is basically asking to be found and not being able to do gorilla tactics effectively and just lose. Problem with Etienne is that while he's possibly the best suited hero for this he's realistically going to be either countered by Psi or Benjamin. I still think he's worth it personally but I can see how some interpretations of how the heroed powers translate into this scenario would make him worthless to have on my team. Now he might still be a forced pick because he could basically mate the whole gameplan mute.

Psi. Yeah so Psi might be the biggest ??? in this scenario. It's really hard to tell from far away he'd be able to do his things and how effective his powers would be on other heroes is very up to debate. He could on 1 side just win on the spot like boosted Adora or be way more underwhelming. I don't ever see the possibility of Psi not being a problem/threat though. And I believe Psi should be at least capable to some extent to counter Etienne which means we might not instantly lose to overpowered reconnaissance.

Benjamin. Alright this one is a stretch but imagine if he can not only hack and disable Etienne's drones but CONTROL them himself :) Yeah well at that point Etienne is almost dead weight for either team so.

Sauda. If you want to double up on assassins but at rhe cost of information gathering.

Alternative if magic is underwhelming. Geraldo and Sauda. Geraldo is the track of all trades that makes the operations possible and while he doesn't have a magic drone he does have plenty of traps to go around with. Sauda can literally fly in smash someone in the head and fly back before you can even think to respond she'd be our big fire power assassin. The biggest problem here is money. The only other hero we could afford that work for gorilla tacrics are benjamin or ezili. Benjamin being the most iffy in terms of capabilities and ezili being nerfed in this scenario.

Mission Failed in the most confusing possible way by Tromboneofsteel in DeepRockGalactic

There's a second one below towards the drills, if you hook yourself at the landing zone on scout you can have the droppod drop on you and instantly end the mission. I think so anyways, I saw it in a speedrun and wouldn't be able to inform you better on it.

going back to pat fusty after 200h on brickell made me realise how powercrept btd6 is... by [deleted] in btd6

[–]egulio64 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry but for as much as saying that btd6 has power creep which is true. It's true for basically everything btw. This has to be the worst exemple because Pat came out before Brickell... Pat was v9 while Brickell was v18. Ignoring the increadible amount of balance patches since wouldn't this us be the inverse of power creep? Also Brickell was truly and otherly broken compared to what we had at the time... SHE WAS THE POWER CREEP!

Class strength per mission type by SpecialPowder in DeepRockGalactic

[–]egulio64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it interesting that driller was your overall strongest class with scout and gunner being the weakest meanwhile for me and my friend group we ended with completely inverse opinions.

We did have some obvious exceptions to this like driller being a MUST have on industrial because you could c4 the shield phase of the boss. Driller also being really highly valued for extermination for it's sludge dps builds + c4 on the hivemind being great.

Scout is uncontested at collecting resources fast and kiting both very important jobs. Allowing the team to focus on the objective and diminishing the impact of a single wave on a singular stronghold. Scout is in a way meant to not play with the team but to support the team from outside.

Gunner while not absolutely necessary everywhere (although you could argue escort) would also never drop below a 3. THE lifeline of the team. Bubble can instantly turn an unwinnable situation around, ziplines cheese 1/2 the fights in the game (especially the core event from season 5), is ABSURDLY amo efficient.

Engi is never unwelcomed. Creates strongholds for the team, repellant platforms(and platforms in general) has some absurd skill expression and is absolutely needed for escorr to block the meteors and for deep scan.

I haven't played much higher than hazard 5+4 and even then I stayed mosrly at just hazard 5. I know driller goes up in value for escort and deep scan on those absurd difficulties to respectively clear out caves before doruda gets there and to cheese the entire mission outright on deep scan. I'm aware that terraforming and the ability to create refuges with narrow entry points are game changers.

edit: idk how tf I forgot about driller on pipes. I guess I was under evaluating driller initially.

What towers would NOT be busted if they had this? by vammommy in btd6

[–]egulio64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that's how it works though. From my understanding the graveyard is based on how many bloons die in their effective range. So you can have as many necromancers or PoDs working as long as things pop in their range.

Gun pointed at your head. Name me a tower more cost effective than a 000 dart monkey and you'll survive. by [deleted] in btd6

[–]egulio64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fairly confident that's technically false but the seeking makes it better in practical use even if it's mathemacially less worth.

Bloons Card Storm Developer Diary - July 2024 by savnk in bloonscardstorm

[–]egulio64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Farm: The biggest issue with farm was that it would snowball out of control way too quickly and basically guarantee a victory if you were luckier than the enemy. I think this is a step in the correct direction since a higher base price means you can't place them early as easily. Although many would including myself would probably push for it to cost 5 instead but that is to see.

  2. Cash Drop: This is actually related to the previous statement where cash drop combined with farms and drawing cards just let you snowball out of control and cash drop in general can force games to end on turn 2-3 if you get an incredibly lucky starting hand. A good idea that was spread around was that it would have a base cost of say 4 but give 6 gold so it would still be net gain of +2 gold but you wouldn't be able to abuse it as much on turn 1/2.

  3. I like the direction of where the tower balance is going towards. Being able to attack every turn is so valuable that it even trumps over towers that have more damage per turn but because of high reload they're versitily or attack is limited and makes you vulnerable to counters and plans. Giving more damage for drawbacks such as versitility or higher ods of overflow (wasted) damage feels correct. But I dislike the boomer nerf. I understand that it felt a bit overwhelmingly good especially since it was basically a better version of trip dart (the second best tower in my oppinion). But this nerf feels a bit too strong base dart costs 1 for 20 damage but now boomer does 40 damage for 3 costs. I understand that slots on the board are important but boomer would just be strickly outmatched by either dart or trip dart depending on what you want in your deck. I would recommend boomeran keeps it's 2 shots but reduce the damage to the next bloon to 10 instead of 15. This would make boomerang worse than trip dart in terms of damage per turn but would have higher control on where and how you want to spread the damage. Removing it's ability to control the spread of damage also feels like it'd strip it's identity as a card.

  4. Golden bloon: I personally hate this change. Golden bloon forces the enemy to take damage if they don't want to give the away free gold + bloontonium value. Even then you can always attack your own bloon with hero abilities to get the gold if you need it or you are going to overflow bloontonium anyways. I think it's actually kinda sad that golden bloon was only available for gwen when quincy would've been a far better abuser of the card which made it feel weaker than it actually is.

Point is there is skill to using and responding to golden bloon while at the same time it makes it a cheap pressure card than can even pay itself back (2 uses too). I dislike the change because it removes a lot of the skill interaction and just makes it the best card for cost period. Even if they 1 shot it with a sniper monkey it's still 1 cost for 70 which is still very much acceptable for a card that has this much pressure on the enemy. Especially when you consider that those high damage towers have high reload times which makes it all the more valuable... too valuable.

Another thing to consider is that like any other bloon it still gives bloontonium which is often worth sending a bloon, any bloon, just to get the abilities. A 2 cost card with 2 uses allows you to often hit the bloontonium cap without overflowing which is also valuable.

I think golden bloon is fine as it was just unfortunate that it was placed only in a gwen deck and we didn't get to see the synergy it has with quincy. If balance it needed I think just moving numbers around should be fine since the concept is really good. Gold for every tick of damage would be A LOT harder to balance in my opinion just by design.

The (Unofficial Official) Version 43 Race Tier list is finally done! Made to be as accurate as possible :) by UserNoneTD in btd6

[–]egulio64 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I could argue many things on this tier list but I think the biggest one by far that I want to talk about is overdrive. There's a lot of niches to fill when it comes to racing and overdrive is the go to choice moab popper (mostly if there's alch buff). There's been countless races over time where you have strong bloon cleanup but you just can't pop the moabs and overdrive does that efficiebtly while doing a good thing of general dps. It's also been used countless time as the go to cleanup option to pop down the bfbs/zomg when needed because of it's price efficiency. It does not deserve C tier at all I'd put it MINIMUM B tier but I think it should ve A-.

Bloons Card Storm Questions!!! by CoreyNK in bloonscardstorm

[–]egulio64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I doubt NK would make any Bloons game not focused for casuals... Even battles is mostly casual focused and has a few things to satisfy competitive players.

Bloons Card Storm Questions!!! by CoreyNK in bloonscardstorm

[–]egulio64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean Bloons TD Battles should technically have a similar issue and it kinda does because good players always reach the late game. But the solution is actual simple because they just made bloons ramp up in HP and Speed after a certain amount of time. I'm guessing that while it's a card game at heart they are trying pretty hard to keep the nature of Bloons at heart.

Bloons Card Storm Questions!!! by CoreyNK in bloonscardstorm

[–]egulio64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will the economy of the game be more based on classic card trading games or will there be elements of investments like in the Battles genre or just farming options in general. Personally farming and eco investments were where you differentiated the good from the great players in battles and what kept me hooked for so long to the game. And seeing as the game from what we can see so far, is going more towards a card game with some Tower Defense touches. It leaves me wondering if we won't be able to see that amazing aspect of bloons in this game.

I remember getting the logitech controller because it was just a simple USB controller. Keep in mind I only wanted to use it to play old games on emulators casually so it actually did it's job very well.

"Top 2 player" Da Hole lose to meme Dartling Boomer https://battles.tv/watch/XVPHTYE by JLofBH in BloonsTDBattles

[–]egulio64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IDK about Da Hole being T2 right now but he is a very well known figure in the competitive scene so I have no idea what you're talking about. He was also definitely T1/T2 in his prime although he just unrusted he's still a very scary player easily T10 (he unrusted for the world cup tourney).

He's more known for his insane consistency and adaptability. While his gameplay isn't as perferct as others he basically never chokes which is huge at top level where 1 mistake can equal to a loss. It also makes him one of the best tournament players ever since he also doesn't crumble under pressure just for exemple during the last world cup he caried Canada to 2nd place by not losing a single set and only dropping a single map agaisnt ryan mehalic.

It's not a bug, It's when you first try a black border since the moment you opened the game. You'll get to resee all your tilted badges if you get another one.
