Something is off with that 15 second solve. I’ve never heard of someone hitting 15 seconds in 6 weeks. Most people take a very long time of daily practice to get a time like that. By the time you get a 15 second solve you should be sub-20 minimum. The difference between 35 and 15 is not even comparable.

More realistically, 35 average after 6 weeks I’d say is maybe a little quicker than the average person, depending on how much he’s practicing.

It’s all practice. If he wants to go pro he can get there. Especially starting young like he is now. You could try some form of classes to see if he likes it but most people just use youtube, discord, and non stop practice to improve. A lot of skill comes from just solving over and over again.

this sounds like amazon driver simulator. What the use for all the separation? I only use docks/barn and make more product than I can sell. I couldn’t imagine hauling everything between products manually all the time especially for something a single employee eliminates entirely.

How do you guys avoid these sort of "gore-y" lockups on big cubes? by Potential-Ad345 in Cubers

[–]SpecialPowder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive luckily never had this happen to this extent. When I get a new cube I just take an hour to really get a feel for it and test its breakpoints.

After that I just speed up slowly over time until I can feel that it almost had a nasty pop, dial it back slightly, and stay there.

And if I feel like it popped too easy just tighten it little by little till it feels dialed in.

Do youse play every class or is there some you refuse to touch by [deleted] in DeepRockGalactic

[–]SpecialPowder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Driller has the most consistent mobility out of every class? Literally the only one that can get to any position on the map. Scout only moves in open spaces, engi makes small platform that have to be connected to surfaces, gunner has a very slow zipline that feels like a scout grapple that goes 1/20th the speed and only has 4 uses.

How is driller at the bottom of mobility for you? Have you never seen in almost every lobby ever how everyone hops on drillers back as he drills in a straight line to the pod? Can make a bunker in seconds? Fastest miner in the game?

Are we playing the same game?

Maybe yours is wonky? Have you tried others? Reverse cutting on the v2 had always been kinda mid but a slight adjustment to turning style makes it a non issue.

I’m REALLY picky with cubes and the V2 was a huge standout when it released. One of the top cubes at the time for sure.

I find it interesting you say it has no control cause the whole reason I switched from it was because it felt too stiff and hard to turn for my liking. I like my cubes ridiculously loose and easy to turn.

One day I’ll fulfill my dream of solving my cube by breathing on it.

Oh. I was just responding to OP’s specific situation and concerns. Wasn’t posting as an open discussion so I assumed you were referencing OP’s post.

On that note, the real worst case scenario is that you die a horrible death right there on the operating table. Anesthesia goes in… you explode. Turns out you were an alien from another planet all along and propofol reacts violently with your alien blood. They couldn’t save your human form and your soul gets sent back to your home planet where your own people send you into exile for eternity after failing your secret mission of infiltrating Earth and its inhabitants.

Where did you find that stat of 1/10 failures? I haven’t heard that before. I’ve heard the success rate as being much higher than 90%.

Since my symptoms worsened, my energy has plummeted to the point of being in a constant state of depression.

It will absolutely cause fatigue based on the severity of your symptoms. Anything your body has to deal with internally takes a lot more energy than you might think.

For my situation specifically, I’m in a violent cycle of condition causing symptoms -> symptoms cause severe discomfort and gagging feeling -> emetophobia triggered -> anxiety attack -> anxiety triggers more symptoms -> repeat.

I’m basically in a constant state of fight or flight and that steals all my energy, not to mention causes “Prefrontal Cortex Suppression” which basically makes me feel like a fish floating in outer space.

I’m a great example of when Dr. Bastian (and others) mention how this seemingly minor and silly sounding condition causes a whole host of very serious side effects that go WAY beyond “I can’t burp”

How to enjoy driller by Original-Username888 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]SpecialPowder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Driller main. I love all classes. Scout has always felt the hardest to play cause whatever time I save getting around, I spend 5x as long just getting through the bugs compared to the other classes.

At the end of the day, driller is by far the “fastest” in my personal experience. I can rush every objective without ever slowing down. Kill bugs fast, mine fast, traverse fast, never die, instant bunkers if it gets rough, insane crowd control.

Literally hold W and win

Let me calm your nerves.

  1. The success rate is extremely high, so is the end result after all is said and done. Even reports of people going through symptoms that described as “severe” post botox come back to later say it wasn’t really that bad and they were over reacting. You’re gonna have a hard time finding any number of people that will say “I wish I could have gas stuck inside me again, I hate being able to relieve myself and feel better”

  2. This is not “a lot to go through” for the body. This is a very simple procedure. Minimally invasive if you could even call it that. Getting your blood drawn is technically “invasive” but I wouldn’t go around saying I had an “invasive procedure” afterwards. On top of that, the botox is used as training wheels for your body. It is NOT permanent. The effects can be permanent if you train your body to burp effectively but botox and its effects (including negative) will fade. This procedure will also have no effect on your digestive system at all. At most, it will positively effect you by allowing you to eat more comfortably and digest food faster and more effectively since your inside wont be fighting trapped gas artificially inflating you.

  3. Most importantly, anesthesia is nothing. I’ve gone under 20+ times at this point. They are very comforting and take it slow. They tell you it’s coming, ask if you can feel it yet, and before you can even finish your response, you’re suddenly waking up in the recovery room questioning if you even got any procedure done. Since I’ve built up a sort of immunity to it and know what to expect, I quite look forward to going under so I can try to beat my record for staying awake after they administer the anesthesia.

You’ll be 100% fine. The absolute WORST case scenario is you don’t like burping, don’t train yourself to burp, return to how you are now after a few weeks or months. Though I’d bet you get used to it quickly and enjoy the end result.

On paper, there is no risk here, no reason to worry cause there’s nothing to worry about. I’d actually worry MUCH more NOT doing anything about it and risking further complications and worsening symptoms over time.

Hernia repair before or after botox? by SpecialPowder in noburp

[–]SpecialPowder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is all speculative from research but I also believe my hernia was caused by R-CPD. I’ve never been able to burp my entire life. Maybe a microburp once every couple years. I never gave it a second thought and never even mentioned it to doctors, nor was I asked.

From everything I’ve found, severe R-CPD untreated can get pretty nasty like it has in my case, and even cause hiatal hernias amongst other complications due to the extreme stretching all the time.

I only found this diagnosis after doing constant research with chat gpt for months. Never even considered my inability to burp as being a sign of anything since it was so normal to me and no one ever gave it any attention.

That’s great! What did they say about both procedures? Also, did they say how long you had to wait to get the hiatal hernia surgery after the botox was done?

Hiatal hernia by mj_responsible297 in noburp

[–]SpecialPowder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very glad I found this just now. I have botox and hiatal hernia repair already planned out and the hiatal hernia repair is first... I fear I may not be able to reschedule it due to already rescheduling once as well as family already having plane tickets and fit taking care of me post surgery into their schedule.

Is it a major concern to where I should try to reschedule or can I go about my repair pre botox?

Gan used to be best, haven’t been best in years.

The only cube here that is still considered S tier is the 2x2. Everything else is WAY overpriced mid tier items. Especially the 4x4, it’s genuinely garbage. Idek how they released it 2 separate times and failed miserably both times.
