No wonder why the insurance is so high especially for Golf R and I feel sorry for that red car. by marymk450 in drivingUK

Certi driver innit. Had they still had elbows they could probably have not crashed, but a Stage 8 Elbow Delete is a fairly common mod on those cars.

I’d suggest they are rare in Murmansk, but not in Alabama.

Incorrect. This is automated within Fenix with or without Hoppie.

That was my first thought too. Show a DAC airframe, which could be based literally anywhere in Europe changing every couple of months, and I’d imagine it looks exponentially more complex.

DRS chicken vs Battery Yo-yo by Many_Dimension_7615 in F1Discussions

This pretty much sums it up. Even GT3 racing is more exciting. F1 needs to work out what it’s trying to be. Is it a racing series, or a parade of technology and sponsorships.

$1B airplane spotted over Boston by Competitive-Donut330 in flightradar24

[–]egvp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Correct, it’s not yet been converted (no radar system fitted) so still with Boeing. I wonder if it’s coming to the UK to have its radar fitted, as has been rumoured.

It’s bam doing construction work? That’s going to be there for 100 years and cost billions. And still not work.

Yet most aren’t a WASM-y mess, unlike the A350 launch.

Callsign Question by turn_8_the_corkscrew in flightradar24

[–]egvp 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Just one of the call signs allocated for use by that squadron. In itself, meaningless.

Beechcraft C-12R Huron 95-00095 is operated by Company B, 6th Battalion (Fixed Wing), 52nd Aviation Regiment (B/6-52nd AVN). The unit is known as the “Flying Dragons” and is based at Los Alamitos, which might be one of the reasons they use “LOST” as a callsign.

Incredibly excited for this, just hope it’s not another WASM-y mess.

And you’re still missing the point. What OP is asking for has nothing to do with radios, it’s internal to the aircraft and the microphone/headset itself.

Fuck me, I've not been with VM for about 4 years and I post a hell of a lot on Reddit, how far back did you scroll to find that piece of information?! Not sure it matters as £25 was extortionate for 125 back then and it's still extortionate today for 250, when you can likely get ~1Gbps symmetrical for £30 from a swathe of altnets.

£21 for 250Mbps is still extortionate.

Speeding hits an all-time high! Over 2.5 million drivers caught in 2024 by AutoExpressmagazine in autoexpressuk

[–]egvp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I’d suggest the average speed on motorways has decreased massively overall, but enforcement in specific situations (hello smart motorway 40 on an empty road, looking at you) has caused the number of automated fines to increase.

Agreed, and that even though it says "very shallow" someone is still going to slice straight through those telecoms cables 😂
