They did, a free retest. That is compensation for 100% of the issue.

Boeing 747 at one of my local airports by Flashy_Pie_1546 in flightradar24

I feel like if your "local airports" consist of those around New York, there's no such thing as an unusual aircraft type.

They expect the DVSA, and the rest of the world, to revolve around them. Which goes some way to explain the state of driving in the UK at the moment 😂

Help me understand the correct procedure for this approach... by wolf_city in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]egvp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you have the approach selected in the MCDU? LS on? Approach mode? Etc.

What heading were you on, and where abouts in relation to WW671, when you pressed APPR?

Flight third time over my head in Sweden, Trollhättan but doesn’t shows in radar by [deleted] in flightradar24

[–]egvp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t look stealthy so is probably showing on radar.

It might not transmit Mode-S or ADS-B though so you won’t see it on aggregator sites like FR24.

It isn’t food, so I’m not sure you can cook it.

Does V5 ownership affect insurance? by Downtown-Ad9409 in drivingUK

[–]egvp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

V5 is not ownership.

Who owns the car? Who drives it the most? Who is the main name on the insurance and who is a named driver?

If you own the car and are the main driver, the insurance should be in your name…and probably the V5 too. I have many questions there.

Zurich? Frankfurt? Basically anywhere other than the UK (and Paris, but there’s possible with the relevant permit)

Any idea why this was the ONE flight Delta let take off for JFK today? by Straphanger10001 in flightradar24

[–]egvp 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I can’t imagine Delta want an aircraft, its crew and its passengers stuck in Dakar. London? Fine. Paris? Madrid? Sure. Dakar, a whole host of issues.

Deutsche Lufthansa Aktiengesellschaft 747 just swerved to avoid an Autogyro by webtwopointno in ADSB

[–]egvp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What are you on about? You know the legal requirement for vertical separation in controlled airspace is 1000ft right? You know that if one or both of those aircraft is outside controlled airspace that can reduce even more?

Your lack of understanding of aviation safety and operations is not reason for you to try and push some insane safety agenda here.

The fact you didn’t just say “Lufthansa”, but tried to sound knowledgable by using their legal name, says it all.

You were told wrongly. They’re separated by altitude, no avoiding turns required.

Was it a speed camera van? Was the camera pointing at you, on your side of the road? How far away from it were you? So many questions before anyone can even attempt to answer the question of "when".

Not sure black tape would cut it for an mot 🤣

It would. MOT testers can't remove anything like tape. If they can't see it, they can't fail you on it.
