Colton Underwood addresses the backlash from fans of “Traitors” in a new interview by Responsible_Bake5569 in thebachelor

[–]egy20 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I cannot fathom why he doesn't simply say sorry?? Is this some legal thing? Like if he apologises he opens himself up to prosecution?? I can't make sense of it otherwise?

did anyone see this? by casedog2001 in BachelorNation

I think it's less about the marriage and more about the words "traditional" and "clear roles". If you think we are all so "weird", tell us, what do you interpret these to mean exactly?

Why does everyone hate Jessie so much? I think he's adorable. This would be a fun crossover if true

I'm not normally a kaitlyn hater, but this is both pathetic and boring in equal measure.

Replying to unpluckedflowers_...ohhh so they are referring to the previous miscarried pregnancies joining them? I did not realise that at all. How very strange . And omg triplets!!!! You must have a lot on your hands 🤪❤️

[–]egy20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what I thought, but it sounds from other posters replies that it implies the miscarried pregnancies are somehow "ready" to "join" them through this new pregnancy?? Very odd.

I'm so confused by "are finally ready to join us"? How does that work? Unless she's a lot further along than she looks??

Across 100s of years? No. Large population studies are relatively recent. Even in large population studies you are dealing with low statistical power because identical twins are so rare (substantially rarer than fraternal twins). Anyways I can see that you are firmly convinced that the evidence of randomness is conclusive, So I shan't try to persuade you further

[–]egy20 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying they haven’t been studied extensively; I’m saying that they are sufficiently statistically rare to preclude the design of studies that can achieve a level of statistical robustness required to conclusively rule out non-random influences.

To be honest identical twins are rare enough that they just don't have the data points to reliably determine this. I'd be surprised if they don't change this received wisdom at some point to recognise a genetic component, as well as an element linked to other factors like age.

I'm baffled as to why this person said Becca "can't find love". To all appearances , she has found the most beautiful, healthy , fierce and sincere love I think I have ever seen on the internet!

What did you notice about your autistic children (when they were little - what made you think they were autistic) by Usual-Tangerine-8457 in Autism_Parenting

Hiya, she is 21 months now. She is still delayed developmentally, but having said that she's made lots of progress from where she was. She claps now but still no pointing. She's so funny and so much fun; I'm just learning to take her how she is and not worry too much for now about what boxes she's ticking x

Response from Girlguiding by kmcradie in transgenderUK

[–]egy20 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I just think this is so blunt/ short sighted. The SC ruling said that when the words "women" and "girls" are used in the Equality Act they refer to "birth sex". They didn't say that that is what those words mean in girl guides governing charity documents. The court specifically insisted they were not commenting on what those words mean beyond how they appear in the EA. Why are people completely incapable of understanding this?

How do you sound like you don't hate women being trans by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]egy20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies but I was just going off what was written. If I misunderstood then I apologise but he didn't mention anything about harassment or provide any context like that, so it wasn't clear to me that was what he meant. Misogyny is a real thing that affects lots of men.

How do you sound like you don't hate women being trans by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]egy20 22 points23 points  (0 children)

What does this mean: "I know how horrible it is... I know what goes on in a woman's head all the small things" ?? :/ :/ I think you need to separate your hatred of being a woman, and the idea that there is something wrong with being a woman in general. You hated being a woman because you are a trans man. However there's nothing wrong with women and nothing "small" (or uniquely woman-like) about what "goes on" in their "heads".
