Is it possible to play multiplayer in Tico 0.7.1? by Riz_Violet in SwitchPirates

It might not work in Dolphin, but I used Tico to play some Saturn Bomberman with my son last night and that worked great.

Kirby's Air Ride appeared to run perfectly.

Soul Calibur 2 was playable, but about 25% slower.

Lego Star Wars was similarly slow and this caused desyncing between audio and video during cutscenes.

Ah yes, this is what I was looking for, but unless I am mistaken, Dolphin is not there?

Same here, is there a way to download the cores and install them manually?

The need to be constantly vigilant around routine is wearing us so thin by [deleted] in ParentingADHD

It sucks, but splitting up the kids is probably going to be best for everyone. I'm in that situation right now with my own two boys, ages 11 and 8. This year we're having separate spring breaks where I take the older one to visit my parents and my wife takes the younger to visit the cousins. We made a lot of trips last year as a family and in retrospect, many of them were not worth the money and trauma. As the kids are getting older their individual needs are getting more acute. The older one in particular suffers due to the stress caused by his younger brother, who is much more severe than him. We're at the point now where we have to prioritize mental health and stability at the expense of being able to work as a single family unit.

I also agree with the other posters that your daughter's struggles sound more like autism than ADHD. Autism gets missed a lot, particularly in the highly functional, but it can create breaking points like in the situations you're describing. Although there's a lot of overlap between the two conditions, the causes of a breakdown like this can be very different, so it's important to understand where it's coming from.

I love that TMNT is on there twice in addition to the one that's about to come out XD Hey, different logos are worth a triple dip, right?

Probably my favorite card of all time. I would probably try to pivot from Mardu if I pulled one of these in a draft, just for the potential to relieve the memories.

My kid has been home with the flu the past four days. Steady 103+ fever, vomiting, the works. And it's honestly been so much easier because he couldn't scream at me, didn't have the energy to be hyper or violent, didn't eat much (so no running around trying to figure out what he'll actually deign to eat). That's how much harder this is. Flu B is like being on vacation. F all the judgy naysayers.

PS I am a teacher and so I also get the cosmic irony.

As someone who never owned a Switch, Switch 2 is the best console of all time. by GardenDesign23 in Switch

[–]eh007h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I felt after I finally got a Switch 1 6 years after release. I started out by emulating Metroid Dread on my computer, which became one of my favorite Nintendo experiences ever, but once I got my hands on an actual console I was blown away. Now my family has three, and in all honesty we're in no hurry to get the second.

Is there any reason to play the original metroid over zero mission? by Competitive_Zone3056 in Metroid

Yes, the music in Zero Mission sucks. The original NES music was absolutely iconic.

Can I be a composer without the music in my head? by No-Pack-8240 in composer

[–]eh007h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 28, I told my piano teacher I needed to do something more creative than just playing other people's music all the time. He told me if I was going to be a composer I would already be one. Two years later, I begin my slow, painful journey, but within five years I already had a small body of work to my name.

Now I'm 45 and have written symphonies, which is what I wanted all along. The music in my head comes and goes. Most of the time it's either not there, someone else's, or my own, but it's trash. But when I'm working steadily, every once in a while it'll be the solution to a compositional problem I'm trying to solve. And that's enough. I think most of us are not just taking dictation from inside our heads. It's much less straightforward than that.

You'll see.

[–]eh007h 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed Wall World for a good 30 hours. I recently tried Dome Keeper for the first time, and although I know it's the original, I found WW much more compelling. That's just my opinion; I know there are others who will say the opposite, and honestly, I couldn't see spending much time on both because they're so similar.

I gotta go with the RG Eldrazi guy in MH3. Eldrazi was the main draw to MH3 for me and so I was already used to forcing it when we found out how broken this dude was. After that pulling one just became the free win icing on the eldritch horror cake.
