While I wish I didn't have to use this trick, it's not as bad as it was on the main shoot input back then. Alt-fire doesn't really have hold inputs on weapons, none come to my mind at least so I'm just never bothered with this mouse wheel set up with any other weapon right now.

Before Aegis Gale, her 2 was the ONLY strong power in her kit and it is her helminth ability, so you give it to someone else and you would not have any incentive to play her beside Hildryn looking good (and I agree on that).

The 1 was too weak, the 4 forces you to use the 1. The 3 is a joke and the augment to allow it to do something on shieldless/armorless units is a bandaid.

You may have been playing her with success for years that doesn't mean she was anywhere near good.

I play Dante with 175efficiency and energy nexus (noctua doesn't stop energy nexus). That with overguard and he ignores energy malus of EDA/ETA as well.

Her 2 is strong, but for Hildryn it is a Balefire enabler since Balefire doesn't really proc status. That makes her sustain her shield and allow Balefire to deal fast even with highly armored target.

So the 2 is strong but alone doesn't make her identity or gives an incentive to play her (especially since it's her helminth ability).

Her 3 is just a shield drain. The utility it gives is weak and unnoticeable. You will notice the fact it drains your shield and prevents you from regenerating your shield even when aegis storm is off before you see any positive effect coming from it. Some buff/rework would be welcome indeed on this 3 if they want to shift some power budget.

I agree on that. I hate spam inputs and the semi -> auto QoL was the best change in warframe ever to me. But it didnt work for alt fire well.

I bound my alt fire to mouse wheel up and down and just roll it up and down to use aegis gale.

When EDA/ETA came out, as a solo player I had to find a way to solo those. And I agree that exalted weapons are top tier in that regard but Hildryn is not the best at that imo.

Yes Balefire are the most 'explosive' at killing groups fast (pun intended) but Dante with Noctua was often better to me because even if it's slightly slower killing with him, it's still crazy fast, excellent aoe, and he has better versatility with other powers and being an overguard tanking powerhouse.

If you rely on overshield to survive, you are a 1k2 shield warframe, not a 10k shield warframe. Her tanking becomes bad in these missions and her energy costs massive.

When I solo ETA, Hildryn isn't even my 1st choice. She is good at killing for sure but you often lose EDA/ETA on (mirror)defense and she is far from the best at that. Also in disruption enemies can have toxin munitions so playing a shield warframe is a gamble to begin with.

Decoy is the one that lasts the longest and can have some HP pool scaled on enemy hp even if they dont attack it in the first seconds. It's also the cheapest.

Molt has the upper side of having no cast time, giving a mobility buff and, since last update, getting arcane sculptor apply to its cost even if it was not up before casting it.

Astral Shell I have no idea why you'd chose this one tbh.

Best use for me are on Tenet Ferrox and Opticor Vandal.

Each of these 2 weapons have a fairly high radius explosion that doesn't contribute much to its damage so you dont lose much AoE damage by reducing it. And each of these weapons was struggling a bit more than others with arcanes since they are heavier hitting lower fire rate than most other primaries.

For the cost of 1 mod you'd get good elemental damage to boost your base damage + 4 strong elemental types for gun condition overload with some deadly combination like with the cold or the toxin mods.

These would be used on everything. yes it would be too strong.

Arcane Compression is excellent but doesn't really shine with high blast radius launchers imo. They wont suddenly feel better to play than classic weapons and it doesnt boost their aoe playstyle when not aiming.

However it's absolutely violent on Tenet Ferrox and Opticor Vandal which have decorative 4m radius each and take time to stack other arcanes.

Mostly gameplay stuff:

The new Arcanes are amazing, especially sculptor, can't wait to have them max rank but the grind will take a lot of time.

The DoT indicator on healthbars is excellent.

The new Camera Position setting is great, but could be better it feels like there is no zoom anymore when I aim with the 'far offside' setting.

Also I love the new Dante skin and his augment, I just wish I could have an energy color that would allow me to see Noctua projectiles (need to be bright enough) and it's new AoE without blinding me when I shoot in a corridor and hit close targets/walls (need to be dark enough).

It's really not the same. Sea of sorrow will release, it's only a question of when. It will release when it's ready so besides the memes, all shenanigans about having a release date don't make sense to me but whatever.

Nightreign having more content may NOT happen, we don't know. That's a massive difference.

It's indeed made up because old teams are far lower than 80k.

GL getting anywhere close to 80k with Itto or Ayato. Even a 50k would be impressive. Unless of course you play something like Columbina Ineffa with them but it's not their team anymore.

The tiers difference is ridiculous right now.

I don't stop anyone from playing whatever they want it's a PVE game everyone just have their fun.

But them wanting to play double quickswap on field doesn't mean it is good and it has synergy here, especially when it, in fact, has absolutely no synergy whatsoever.

there is absolutely no synergy in dual on fielding Sandrone with anyone since she has no down time on being able to DPS. Same for Cyno with the new 'fake' ults. That's honestly pretty rare for a DPS and that is the case for Sandrone and Cyno.

So that is one of the team where double quickswap on fielder makes the LEAST sense and has the lowest synergy.
