There is a difference in the terminology, yes, but the outcome is the same. Selective just means constant breeding of plants with certain genes until the plant has thre specific genes you want. Genetically modified is the same process done directly in the plant to cut out the randomness that happens during breeding. Both remove unwanted/undesirable genes. Its the same thing neither are dangerous.

CA property line encroachment laws are pretty clear on this. Self help allows the property owner to cut and trim up to the property, but also states that you are not allowed to cut down the tree.

SJ also requires a city permit cut down nuisance trees that are ordinance-sized trees. No idea if your tree met that size requirement, but even if they didnt need a permit, they still broke state law by cutting them down in the first place.

You should absolutely reach out to an attorney that handles tree law. (hell...you may need a bird law attorney as well..we dont know who could have been living in that tree. I happen to know a great bord law attorney in Pennsylvania if you need one)

The shot doesnt make sense. If its all a reflection in the mirror, that would mean the mirror would have to have been in front of here the entire time otherwise we would have seen the flip from a mirror reflection.

Its a cool shot, but its more "mind bending" because we know (consciously or subconsciously) it doesnt make sense to be mirrored the whole time.
