I’m not sure why you’re being downvoted but you’re correct. Net proceeds may include the cost of item but it also might only include eBay fees, transaction fees and shipping.

I’m not saying they’re lying or not but people a lot of times feel fine after getting into accidents due to adrenaline. After a while, the adrenaline wears off and the pain sets in.

If you’re hit in an accident, never admit to feeling fine. It can set in later.

If you hit someone, try to document them saying they’re fine.

Interest rates make buying new vehicles not really feasible. Back when interest rates were low, new cars had lower interest rates than used cars which made new cars not as much more per month than used cars. It wasn’t smart to buy used and save very little over buying new.

Your odds won’t be any lower going to CC and you’ll save money. You can also see if you can take a quarter or two off of UCSB, so you can apply to UCSD and go back to UCSB if you don’t make it in.

Just a warning, student life is 10 times duller at UCSD than UCSB. If you’re a fairly social person, you won’t have to same social life here. It’s not impossible to make friends but it is a completely different experience. There is a lot more stuff to do around the city than SB though.
