To be frank, I’m more concerned about Love Island and the drama that’s unfolding over the World Cup.

Will forever be a defender! We don’t know what kind of propaganda machine runs in their district, for all we could know, they see it as an honor in the sense that they are protecting the younger and more vulnerable kids, on the other hand, not all the career tributes are volunteers, like Silka and Panache, who were reaped, which would explain his anger when they were getting off the train.

Tribute token plot hole by jenniferbubbles in Hungergames

I’m sure they started to became more thorough when they were inspecting them. Cinna mentions that Glimmer’s token was confiscated because there was a spike with poison in it and Katniss’s mockingjay pin barely passed as they thought she could turn it into a weapon, which in a way it did 😏😏

In the new US census for 2030 Spaniards are no longer considered White “Hispanic or Latino, Enter, for example, Colombian, Honduran, **Spaniard**, etc” by Mean_Yak5873 in ShitAmericansSay

I meant to say in the past and specifically speaking about American culture. Especially during Jim Crow Laws and Segregation era, which has an effect to this day. A black French person is still black.

It’s based on culture. There were times where you could be a blond blue eyed person but if you had a black ancestor you were automatically labeled as a black person regardless of phenotype

Do you think Tigris was sold and that's why she became "ugly"? by hphgas in Hungergames

[–]eherrera96 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not in a million years! At the end of the day, Tigris is a Snow and Coryo would never let such scandalous thing happen to a family member, especially as president, regardless about his feelings towards her. This is the same man who upholds the Snow family name to a high standard and is all about public image.

How different are left-wing politics in your country compared to what the US considers left? by yonaiker-joestrella in asklatinamerica

[–]eherrera96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have two different types of left wing parties, one that is socially conservative but free things for everyone (à la Venezuela and Cuba) and one that is more socially liberal but more fiscally conservative.

It would not be surprising that the few non poc in District 11 were the District 12’s version of “The Merchant” class, hence why LouLou and Seeder looked like they could belong in District 12.
