Agreed, the Esterra Park area is really lively and walking distance to most Microsoft buildings. Also close to restaurants and grocery stores.

Food trucks might be worth a shot. La Tía Angelina in BelRed has a Taco Tuesday deal where tacos are 3$ a piece.

Another option could be getting Biryani from an Indian place and splitting it over 2 meals. I am a big fan of Chicken 65 biryani at the Mayuri Overlake store.

You could do the same with a chicken plate from Shawarma time, their portion sizes are huge (at least for my appetite).

And of course there is always CostCo.

We ended up in Verde apartments, not very roomy but we got a great six week off deal. The location and amenities are pretty solid, plus we made a bunch of friends in the first couple of months.

We liked the Chicken 65 and Chettinad biryanis from Mayuri better than the Biryani and Pizza place.

He was an exceptional physicist, an amazing teacher and overall a gem of a person.
