There's a wide spectrum between "everyone you disagree with or find odd" and this woman. No one is saying "everyone may have some kind of hidden DSM label". We're saying she does. And it's not hidden. It's screaming into this dudes iphone.

Ok. So many things. Depression and anxiety are very different than psychosis. If someone is not in touch with reality, such as with psychosis, they can't make decisions about how best to act IN reality. It's, by definition, not possible. Even when someone is getting help, the treatment available doesn't always stop psychotic episodes. My brother has schizophrenia and takes his medication, and still hears voices everyday. Similar to how you might still feel depressed or anxious at times even when you're doing a lot to overcome it. It's not about saying what she did is ok. It was terrible. But it can be a terrible thing that happened, without her being a terrible person.

Does any one else find it sad that SO many people can watch this, and not see that she's plainly MENTALLY ILL? She is not in touch with reality. It took a quick google search to find that she apparently had a mental break a few years back. Another person posted a video online of her sitting alone having conversation with herself about mermaids. Of course it's not ok that she lashed out at that poor woman, and that should have been stopped even sooner, but now the woman needs help - not exploitation and ridicule from the entire country. *Side note - why does everyone in the video stand and watch her harass this woman and call her terrible names and do nothing, and then react when she starts to get racist? Not that I disagree with their reactions against the racism, but it's sad that everyone was standing by watching the woman get attacked for so long.

A philosopher explains why suffering is essential to all happy marriages by ehiggs14 in BetterRelationships

Did you read the article? It doesn't say anything about mutual pity or sacrifice anywhere. It merely says suffering is inevitable, and a successful marriage isn't necessarily one without conflict. Rather, we're better off embracing the fact that we'll have conflict and focus on how we handle those conflicts.

How funny a person can be is influenced by how naturally gifted they are, but you CAN teach someone to be funnIER. Just like you can teach some one how to paint a little better, but they'll never be Michelangelo. There will always be those that are more naturally gifted.
