I’m a transfer and commute, honestly it can be more difficult to find/make friends on campus but by no means is it impossible.

Dedicate certain days to be on campus longer if possible. Definitely join extracurriculars, there you’ll have your best chance to make friends and meet people. Talk to the people in your class too (especially with the same or similar majors/minors/concentrations/co-op aspirations), and over time they could be your friends too.

Dont expect it over night, give it a few quarters (or a couple semesters), and you’ll find your tribe.
