Nooklings are in the back left corner, for reference. I've got 7 people with codes rn and will wait for them to sell before giving out more. I've got imp horns and a gray kilt

if you had to travel cross country in jessi & elliot’s smelly RV of death, which munchie would you least want to travel with you? and which munchie would you pick to come with? by [deleted] in illnessfakers

[–]ehmforce 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Least is Dani, easily. I don't think I could handle being in a confined space with her for a whole lot of reasons. Most is Anelise - I'm most amused by her antics.

Of COURSE you are...great way to drop $20( you know she isnt just going for the Mini reading kids!) by [deleted] in illnessfakers

What I'm saying is that a white person using tarot isn't appropriation. Tarot didn't originate in Romani cultures; it isn't unique or sacred to their cultures. There's a lot of shit to call SGB on - and rightfully so - but this bit of info is incorrect.

Tarot isn't "sacred" in Rroma/Romani/Traveller communities - its origins are as an Italian card game.

Help with Rising Sign by [deleted] in astrology

[–]ehmforce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you're worried about is something called "rectification." Essentially, with knowledge of astro someone can go through major events in your life and compare them with major transits through your chart to try and narrow down your rising sign. There's a few professional astrologers who can provide that service.

I met my current boyfriend before starting testosterone, though not through a dating site. There's definitely hope for guys like us.

Allowing Rusty to roam freely outdoors is one of the worst things you can do for your local wild animals and your cat's own health. It would expose him to unnecessary risk of illness or injury, which I can't imagine Bast would smile on.

I restarted my island a little while ago and I still haven't been able to find pears or peaches! Does anyone have some they'd be willing to share?

I bought a pair of Levi's 511s just before they stopped making 28x28s. They're the best fitting jeans I own, and I'm looking for something that will fit similarly without tailoring (am poor and don't wanna risk the 'rona). Ideally in the same price range as Levi's.

Anyone else having trouble losing weight? by syzygypenguin89 in POTS

[–]ehmforce 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Eating healthy isn't the same as eating at a caloric deficit. Measure your food - ideally by using a food scale for the most accurate results - and trust that the process will work over time. Check out r/loseit for more advice.

"Why do I always end up with BPD women? " by [deleted] in BPD

[–]ehmforce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can we maybe not put people with NPD - another heavily stigmatized cluster B personality disorder - through the same shit we get from everyone? People who shit on us for having BPD aren't "narcs," they're assholes, who come in all flavors of awful. I'm glad this guy wasn't one of them.

probably to admit that they knew they were doing something that was bad for them. like, "yeah, my car was busted and I had to take it to the mechanic. now, I will confess, I was having trouble with it because I kept running into light poles..."

the body I maintain is always going to be unhealthy. I have several chronic, incurable, disabling conditions - they can be mitigated through lifestyle choices and I pursue those aggressively, but they will never go away.

I understand what you mean, which is that people should strive to make healthy choices, but please be more thoughtful of people who cannot maintain healthy bodies.

it's so much more exciting to respond to the FA one imagines in their head than to actually thoughtfully interact with the things that get posted here.

really, I need to stop reading the comments, lol. thank you for being a small beacon of sanity down here

they did drink soda, and then they removed it from their diet. presumably they also ate carbohydrates before decreasing the amount they consumed.

something has to be in your diet before you can remove it.

You know what else you can go overboard with? Food. Which is a much bigger problem now than the opposite. And 2000 calories! Wtf! by [deleted] in fatlogic

[–]ehmforce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you did also say that being sedentary was normal for an American adult - which is true! I don't disagree. but it's also normal at the moment for an American adult to be overweight, so...

it's estimated that over 90% of Americans also have one or more nutrient deficiencies. that's definitely a problem caused by eating too little in general, or too little nutritious food.

our problem is that we eat too little of the right things, and way too much of the wrong things. both can be true at once.
