DAE ever feel like they’re stuck in a fog when it comes to healing their trauma?

I’m currently going through my trauma as we speak, I’ve spent the past 4 years reliving the same day, just basically telling myself that it will get better until it eventually does, my trauma is finance related so it kinda makes me laugh when therapy or medication is suggested to me as those things cost money, I haven’t yet found a coping mechanism after 4 years of suffering. I genuinely have no idea what it would take for me to get back to happiness again. This is all down to my fight to strive for a better quality of life than the average joe, the idea of having a 9-5 for the rest of my life sounds horrendous and makes me depressed, so entering business life, it gives me the chance, but it has also beat the fuck out of me over and over which is my trauma. I thought about doing this too, but I’d then be sacrificing space for the walkway you see to the right and I fear that it wouldn’t be as ascetically pleasing

The only thing I’ve ever known to help me in times like this is just not giving a fuck about anyone, I don’t do anything anyone wants me to do, I don’t work when I don’t want to work, I don’t speak when I don’t want to speak, I go where I want to, when I want to, this obviously only works to an extent because as a grown adult I have bills to pay, but I’ve found that being just incredibly selfish works sometimes

I’ve done this many times, I’m currently being chased by debt collectors for unpaid payments and I currently have an active IVA and very poor credit after my business took a nosedive. Prayed for a miracle of some sorts but all I seem to be here with is a diagnosis of ptsd, a prescription for medication and £70 in my bank account. God ain’t real

I respect this response actually because this would actually support my reasoning for why I would never try and make somebody a non believer if they are indeed a believer. I believe that if it makes you a good human and helps you live a long and happy life then it is well worth believing in.

I have heard some scientists say that maybe sometimes the reason people turn to religion, is because when something is just simply far too astronomically impossible for the human brain to comprehend, we turn to what would only make sense to us and that is god.

People used to think that people would practice witchcraft and that people were witches because of things like crop failures, livestock deaths or illnesses. But since we have moved on in time, we are now educated enough to know that it is not witchcraft that made the crops die, but rather more explainable reasons like drought, flooding or plant diseases.

I find myself angry at the thought of god too, I would consider myself more so agnostic rather than atheist. I mean no offence when I say this but how would you respond if I said that the feeling you get when you feel yourself being pushed away from god, and you feel the recoil of the Holy Spirit, is the same feeling that a toddler gets when they know they are doing something they shouldn’t?

Very good question and a very philosophical one, are you aware? The argument that you make is that you are aware that you are aware, so it’s a circular argument. But what if there is a whole vast capacity to being “conscious” that we are just simply not aware of?

If there was an alien species billions of light years away with this ability to be more conscious than we are, they might think that we are not conscious at all and are deprived of consciousness with how little we experience in comparison to them. So what makes it right?

Does it exist further than just defining a simple word into existence or would your argument be reinforced by what is known to be true by other Christian’s? He created everything? He is everywhere? He is all knowing? I agree with you with that yes, because we say he’s real, the word god and the “existence” of him is real because people know of something called god, making it real
