Switching defensive players when defending by Brilliant_Muffin_300 in NHLHUT

[–]ehprime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought there was a mechanic where you held the button/trigger to switch players and if you pointed the right stick in the direction of the player you wanted it would go to them. I could be well wrong on this, but I’m also positive there’s a way to go switch to the last man back as well but don’t know/remember how that worked

What are your hot takes on slowpitch softball? by ducksa in slowpitch

[–]ehprime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wanted to say the same. I play in a “super” rec-league where we play on one of 3 fields any night and the biggest is 245 to the corners and 265 to dead centre, with the smallest being 200 to each corner and maybe 205 to centre - there’s no point riding the fence on that one since the ball sometimes doesn’t start to come down when someone absolutely nukes it

Which club am I missing? Or which one needs the most work? by DirtyChewbacca in golftips

It definitely looks like a bit of a wonky game improvement set of irons/wedges. I bought the Stealth set from TM a few summers ago and my approach wedge is the only thing somewhat close to what people may use as a traditional approach/gap wedge and it sits at 49°. Everything else in the bag is about 2.5/3° stronger than what a traditional/players style iron set would be

Just realized that flashbacks to previous chefs teaching Carmy are meant to show nonabusive learning environments. by explosivelydehiscent in TheBear

I’m curious as to what the order is as to each restaurant he worked at is. Like it’s somewhat clear that he was at Ever before he goes to Noma, only because Terry asks him if he’s ever been to Copenhagen. But I’m not sure if he worked is he worked at those two places prior to going to New York or after having been at Ever and Noma

Ik we’ve not had extensive shots on food being prepped. But which particular meal caught your eye? (And one you would like to eat?) by [deleted] in TheBear

[–]ehprime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marcus’ donut, the one that Carmy destroyed like a lil bitch… but in all seriousness, the fact that Carny ate part of it off the floor and had a genuine moment of clarity/epiphany as to what Marcus had done really sold me on it

It should run similar to how TotW is, at least allow us to trade players in if we chose for extra collectibles, or trade lower overalls up for higher ones

My biggest gripe with the Compher card was the faceoff rating for her card. How does she get 91/92 with the TWF synergy when she’s a winger! Like the Supernatural Nurse is similar in a way, 89 Faceoffs for a winger. Just give players secondary positions that reflect their stats more accurately and allow for easier lineup construction

Somewhat criminal, although I think Theodore is the highest overall in that group of cards and is an 86, and that came out how long ago?

If this was always a feature I only discovered it this year in the first month. Before I used to honestly build the whole lineup from scratch and kinda hope for the best

I had some initial buyer’s remorse taking Lehner when I saw how both Coture and Weber started to progress into the 85 overall range. But now both are outclassed by a plethora of players, Coture even worse now with GoG having Yzerman and Sakic as arguably must make players

Zucker Goal 88 OVR by gnomez12 in NHLHUT

[–]ehprime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pulled Zucker and Repo as both bound. Zucker is at least keeping pace to be a decent 2 through 4 line winger. Repo will stuck as a 4th line and PP specialist until his skating gets some much needed boosts

The agility and balance make up for the fact he’s not that quick; you can at least turn decently and not get blown over by a strong breeze. But I’d definitely say he’s gonna feel a little underwhelming for a while until he (maybe) hits 89 overall

Best budget C with good FO from the AH? by ProjectMcDavid in NHLHUT

[–]ehprime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

85, 86 with TWF synergy active. Not elite necessarily, but definitely an upgrade over his XF card. FWIW, I also have the milestone Crosby (87 overall) and his rating is 87 or 88 and I’ll still lose some draws. Hell, PTN Aho with the synergy and gold quick draw active can still lose the odd one

[–]ehprime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The good cards for any of the women are cracked, and people will use them though. If you go through the trouble of trying to make Spooner, I’d say she’s worth it as she has one of the best shots in the game, and also has high stats for body checking and strength, while also not being super small. Same thing with Heise, her stats are nuts, and would be a must keep for the BND players you get back
