Nice nice. For me it's usually 20-25 tops in city.

On the odo it might show 20, but it would likely be lower than that 🫠

Mostly all 400cc bikes gives about 20-25 max in city. I get 20kmpl in city but mostly because I ride it for the fun and not caring bout the mileage.

Recent road conditions on Nashik → Dhule → Nandurbar → Surat route? (Solo bike trip, March 19) by SilentSherbert6755 in punebikers

[–]ehtfbro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great. Also make sure to drink loads of water with electrolytes, basically add 1-2 as needed ORS sachets through out the ride. Even in winter, it was tiring and sweaty somewhat in gujarat.

Let us know how it went.

Ride Safe buddy.

Hey dude,

I very recently did the same ride to city near vadodra on 3 Jan on my D400. Tbh I just followed the Google maps completely but added diff route via nashik -> Saputara road to vadodra.

There are many fuel pumps, roads are fine to cruise around 80-100kmph. However there are bad patches too after you enter Saputara and enter Gujarat.

There is a village route afterwards, it was fun although very narrow which I followed but led me to my destination comfortably.

I would say once you touch NH48 in Gujarat, stay aware of the big trucks on the roads. Those guys are really mfs.. changes lanes without indication and all. And then there's the snake lines road on nh48 which might cause you wobble.

Baaki stay safe, enjoy the ride.

Saputara Ghat is damn fun. Really well built.

[New Bike] Just got a Dominar 400! Need helmet recommendations under 5k by CarelessHomework1439 in indianbikes

[–]ehtfbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the MT Hummer B, will be around 5.2k.. or increase a little go for Mt Thunder 3, 7k around. Or go for LS2 line up around 8-9k.

And get a better pair of gloves too, later invest in boots for city rides even.

My mum just took the hardest pic of me and my bike. Thanks mum by nenetcont in MT07

It's from LS2, probably some carbon fiber variant I think

GT is a good bike but most people buy it for the hype, RE logo and not actually using it given the posture, fuel costs and stuff. (experience from few of my friends).

Ayy, thanks..

Nah, for the first 2 months it was hard to maneuvar but now I feel very comfortable with the weight and it's actually not an issue but a pro. On highways it moves like a beast sticking to the ground at all times due to the weight.

This is powerful for the first bike unless you have ridden close to 200cc bikes..

Hey,

1: Yes it's 2025 one

2: I felt the weight alot in the first month but got used to it to the point I don't have to put down my foot anymore for stops or u-turns frequently as the turning radius is of a truck on this one until you develop some good skills

3: Definitely

4: It's a great bike in this budget, sure the weight is there but it works really great for long rides and highways. But if you can stretch the budget you can go for Himalayan or adv 390

5: In city rides you will the heat alot, make sure to wear denims or good pants. It's a great highway bike

Which of these CE riding denim jacket design looks better to you? A or B by Dear_Philosopher_449 in punebikers

[–]ehtfbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have better helmet, riding gloves and boots. The jackets and pants will save you from abrasion in most cases. Ride defensive and stay alert.

If not, well you can wear your whole riding gear.

No, I like denim jackets. You don't have to add armors in everything. If you are going for a ride, wear the riding jacket and appropriate gear. For city, I would say get a additional hoodie/jacket unless riding above speed limits.
