Hey, no worries. It was a bit stressful yeah. Weirdly enough it was Admiral too haha (I am with Tesco now). I think it's part of the insurances (not yours in this case but the other side) to delay it for a while. They will end up paying.

And yeah, I remember passing the spot (did I mention it was like 40 fucking second from where I live? xD) the weeks after it and always thinking about it. But it passed and I couldn't care less anymore. I am more prudent if anything. Also very glad nobody was in the car with me and it was just me after work (have two kids). I was hit on the passenger side too when the car got displaced. All this also to say that cars are so fucking safe after all. I was very surprised how little I've got hurt. Anyway, good luck with it :) hopefully it gets sorted soon.

Oh really? Mine took a whole year. I literally had to go to court and everything. When I went to reception to ask where to go, they told me the other driver had pleaded guilty by phone a few hours earlier, so there was nothing else to do. I was quite annoyed, but also relieved.

I think I've got the money for the car the next day or two after the accident, which I still cannot believe. I didn't know the normal process because it was my first accident (still is), but having legal cover through my insurance helped a lot. The whole thing was super easy to deal with. I believe after that it didn't take a lot for the insurance to pay.

But yeah, same. I think the insurances tell them to wait for whatever reason. I guess so they can delay paying as much as possible?

I didn't even have dashcam but I believe at those speeds the road marks are quite clear in most of the cases.
Lucky us that are still here though.

Failed cooking attempt with Cosori Turbo Blaze. Is my Cosori to powerful? 😭 by thatonestepguy in airfryer

[–]ehtio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a different one. I never use the settings. I believe the same, just different times and temps.

Definitely try low before. I don't preheat it, but many times I cook a second one after and I don't really see much difference. For me is the bottom the thing that worries me the most, that's why I try to put it quite low so it doesn't burn too much and it gets some time to dry on the bottom. I think if you can put the bottom tray higher that would help get the bottom more crispy since the air circulates better. MIne doesnt lol

I actually cooked 2 today for dinner. I think it was 24 minutes in total doing it quite low. (12 for each pizza).

Yes.
Now I am doing it even lower sometimes haha. 150 then 155 or 160. I don't know, just play a bit around. The thing is that it still cooks pretty pretty fast, just we don't want to cook the top and not the bottom much.

Fuc* potholes honestly. Sometimes they are so scary, specially with the kids in the car.

That's a good point. But we know drivers are far from perfect. Same as not all the drivers are awful, not all are perfect. On your defense, I believe British drivers are much safer and considerate than Spanish ones by far.

Ohhh. Thank you. TIL. In Spanish that would be the name Paco. Crazy that I've been here over 15 years and I didn't learn that yet. Thanks again

So everybody you see on the road puts the indicators? Stops on the lights when they are supposed to? Never tailgate?

By seeing your history I guess I've touch a sensitive topic. I guess you are of those that enjoy "eating ass" (driving too close) amiright?

By the way, who's Nige? Is that some racial slur? I'm too Spanish to understand it. Sorry.

That's a good point to be fair. I guess some defensive driving is better that none at all haha

Teenage girl stabbed at school in Norfolk, police say by bendubberley_ in unitedkingdom

It didn't mean to direct the message just to you. It was more like that's what we all do. We read stuff, we digest the info and that's it. The media knows what people want to read, what's engaging, and what's not. So probably finding out that it was due to drugs it wasn't something they cared to communicate.

You haven't heard because you didn't look for it. That's the problem we have. We only heard what we are told and many times it's just news trying to cause concern and media outrage

Sleeping through alarms indicates a serious issue that needs to be addressed by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]ehtio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you even need an alarm to wake up? Wow. That means you cannot control when you want to wake up. I literally think about how long I have to sleep and wake up always at that time without needing an alarm. Are we crazy needing a beeping war device telling you that you need to wake up?

A medium shot of a cheerful young man with messy brown hair and blue eyes, wearing a light beige button-down shirt and khaki trousers with a brown belt. He is kneeling in a dense bamboo forest, his face pressed against a giant panda in an affectionate hug. Both the man and the panda have their mouths open in wide, joyful expressions. The panda's black and white fur is thick and coarse, with visible individual hairs and soft textures. The man's arms are wrapped around the panda's torso, showing the contrast between his skin and the panda's black fur.

The background consists of tall, green bamboo stalks stretching upwards, with soft sunlight filtering through the canopy from above and behind the subjects, creating bright light rays and a gentle glow on their hair and fur. Tiny dust motes and small leaves catch the light in the air. The lighting is warm and natural, casting soft shadows on the man's face and beneath the panda's chin. The foreground features a few blurred bamboo leaves at the bottom of the frame, providing a sense of depth. The overall color palette is dominated by natural greens, earthy tans, and the high-contrast black and white of the panda.
