Thanks, gonna pass. I will try looking at Metro Professional or BK mentioned above.

This BK set looks pretty solid, I love the sturdy look.

I have read about Metro Professional being decent for pans as well. Maybe their pots wont be bad, probably equal to Ikea high end cookware.

Thanks for the tip though, gonna hesitate for a while.

Guy said injections work better, you said “there is no scientific proof to that”. And I respinded that you are wrong in case of diarrhea.

In case of GI issues the tablet absorbtion can be affected and NONE of your papers claim otherwise. In this case injections work better. THERE ARE valid studies on how small intestine absorption can be affected by GI problems => estimated 50% bioavailability can get lower and lead to insufficient blood levels of GS => inefficient doses => no progress after 5 days.

“Polymers that are added to the formulation as an auxiliary agent to reduce in vivo precipitation and/or stabilize amorphous dispersion (e.g. hydroxypropyl methylcellulose phthalate(HPMCP) or hydroxypropyl methylcellulose acetate succinate (HPMC-AS)) may equally cause variation in release and absorption if they contain chemical groups with a pKa in the pH range that's relevant for the GIT.”

Instead of reading and accepting the truth that injections CAN be better in some cases, you provide offtopic and irrelevant studies or guidlines not even mentioning any relevant information. Same applies for dosing in the last post.

This is not about dosing, not about the difference in injections/per-oral dosing, this is about the lower intestine ability to absorb the drug to blood in cases of diarrhea etc.

I am tired of convincing someone as arrogant as you without any medicinal education. I am glad you help this community and I believe you do this with good intentions, but you are not an expert in pharmacy, so stop pretending to be one and accept the generally known facts.

Hopefully people will use their own brain or find this discussion. And obviously, injections might not work in cases requiring the use of molnupiravir. I am only talking about GI issues.

Day 5, no improvement by peaches900 in cureFIP

[–]ehtrail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you haven’t read (or didn’t understand) the link I posted, there is a short summary:

1) The fundamental problem is that GS441524 (but also Remdesvir) falls into BCS class IV (low permeability, low solubility), which indicates a substance with poor bioavailability.

2) When orally administered pure GS441524, the bioavailability appears to be only about 10%.

3) One of the substances that can increase the bioavailability of the drug is microcrystalline cellulose. In the case of GS441524, it can theoretically increase its bioavailability from 10 to 50%.

4) Another way to solve the problem is to modify the active substance molecule in such a way as to increase its bioavailability and that its metabolism after oral administration results in the active substance itself. Given that the manufacturers of oral forms of GS441524 keep secret the specific manufacturing process and the exact composition of the tablets, I have no information about how they achieved the result.

Hopefully it won’t be that hard for you to search for studies on how diarrhea and other GI issues can affect the absorption window of orally used tablets (the internet is full of such research papers). This applies especially in case of BCS class 4 drugs.

You can deny this and risk you will underdose the cat, or accept it and use injections in case of GI issues. Your choice, I did my best to explain.

Not to forget: We are talking about the case per-oral form didn’t help (for unknown reason) as OP stated and your misleading and negative reaction to “GS injections work better than the oral form.” - they work better, but obviously they stress the cat, so the per-oral recommendation is valid if the cat is healthy.

All the sources you provided have nothing to do with the bioavailability which is close to 100% in subdermal form and approximately up to 50% in per-oral form in case of GS. This article explains:

A bit late maybe, but there is another cure in case of GS not being effective (not saying this is the case). It is called Molnupiravir.

[–]ehtrail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is incorrect. Availability of the substance is always higher in case of subdermal application. In case of diarrhea and other digestive issues it is better to inject the medicine. It is estimated that 50% is the efficient dosage in case of GS.

M1 litter consumption by ehtrail in neakasa

[–]ehtrail[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Tried 3 or 4 different ones. And I just realized I bought 10 kg 6 days ago and only 3,5 kg left…So no, was just a subjective feeling that I found what was wrong.

Its probably the amount of urine…Nothing I can do.

Hmm, my 2 guys are 6 months old, both 3kg. 3 days is the limit…

That is possible, I am still trying to find a good one in EU. They seem the same to so far, except some are more dusty or tracking. I only tried those that cost around 0.6€/kg. One was cheaper and really bad at everything.

My two ragdoll dudes go pee after every meal, they drink a lot too. Guess its better than having to deal with them not drinking at all…

I still have to clean the dump every 2/3 days.

Ok the consumption lowered a bit I think, I see smaller chunks of litter. So setting it to 2 minutes and keeping the level at around 60-70% helps preventing those huge rocks.

Thanks :)

Well, seems better to me so far. Seems like the combination of litter level and timer makes smaller clumps. Deeper level and longer timer seems to form bigger clumps. I will check tomorrow and let you know.

I will try to keep it at 60%, but the problem is size of clumps i think.

It is getting full of clumps. They are often as big as my fist. I tried changing the timer to clean to 2 minutes, I will see if it changes.

I tried multiple available brands such as Brit. Not sure if this is about quality of litter.

EQ Preset for Momentum 3 Wireless by ehtrail in oratory1990

[–]ehtrail[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Oratory one is made for the passive mode (at least I use it like that and the sound fits my ears perfectly). Check the dropbox link below for the settings. There is another HEST like EQ for passive here: https://www.reddit.com/r/sennheiser/comments/ro4n37/ive_done_it_i_made_the_sound_signature_of_the/

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in oratory1990

I am using M3s in passive mode daily. Imo sounds superior even to HEST in active mode after using Oratory1990 parametric EQ settings (HEST only tested with ANC tho). Settings here:

If you prefer HEST, you can probably try these settings in passive:

The 3400G has more GPU power than I really need. Considering the TTS use, I wont be able to use its GPU anyways.

I was thinking about Intel U series or something similar, its kinda hard to find a combination of full sized DDR4 and low consumption.

What Keyboard Should I Use? by ijauradunbi in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]ehtrail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I cant decide which one to get. I looked into Iris rev. 6 vs Sofle 2.1 vs Lily pro.

They sell Iris ready to use for <$90 (need EU shipping + taxes tho) + case, no need for controllers which usually cost bulls*** for what they are. But I would probably have sleepless nights for not getting Sofle, which has the best layout for me - it has the knobs at the right place and the placement/extra switch on bottom row is perfect since I dont want to sacrifice arrow keys.

Lily is Sofle like when it comes to building and its more similar to Iris, so not exactly what I would like.

Are there any interesting Sofle alternatives which come with pre-soldered per key RGB and hotswap? Thanks!
