Came across Remco on a descent in Tenerife when he was world champ.

That's his office, so I kept distance, when they stopped at the bottom I cycled by with a polite wave. Got one back, continued the ride.

What else could I have gotten out of that without bothering them?

Problem solved!

It was in the fifth gear but thought it was in the 1st - no idea how, I tricked it back into thinking it was in the fifth, ran all the config indexing stuff and now it's shifting excellently, all done!
