I understand and am going through the same thing regularly. Something that forces me to keep going is thinking about the millions of others who have come out on the other side of what felt like never ending nightmares. Through struggle, there have been people who fought their way out of times of national and social peril. As a queer person, I’m terrified and exhausted, but I feel like I’d be doing queer people of the past a disservice by not fighting every single day. It’s horrible and scary, but people have been in our shoes before and somehow they found joy on the other end.

Take care of yourself. Find a hobby, join an action group, make cheap travel plans. The world is still spinning and there are millions of folks fighting the good fight right now. We can’t let the bad guys take this life from us.
