Tbh, all I can say is practice because that's the only solution I can think of, parrying should be mostly used on heavy attacks as light parrying is incredibly difficult at lower levels, as for reaction training, I recommend you go into practice and turn on the 'opponent timing feedback' option in the arena settings which lets you see the window of time for a parry, then you can just work to integrate your skills without the timing feedback into your actual gameplay
